does anyone know what the difference between this and the mini version? The mini one seems more popular and easy for gifting.

    • +1

Only difference is the size of the speaker. What it can do is identical.

I have the mini as I wanted to see how good it was and not outlay much cash. It’s great and I’d happily buy the larger one. The little one is great for its size.

    • I've got two of this and one mini. The sound for the mini is more hollow (and I use it in the smallest room), but as mentioned it does exactly the same. If you were going to use it for music a lot (which I do), then get the bigger one.

Anyone find any $1 or $2 items?

Anyone want this and doesn't have the AmEx offer saved? I can help you out, at no extra cost (so flat $120). Just PM me and we can go from there.

  • Thanks.. Was able to also stack with a David Jones Amex welcome offer $15 off $45.

    • What is this welcome offer?

      • I signed up for a new Amex card recently after ANZ cancelled theirs and received this DJs offer and a Woolworths one. The $15 off $45 and $30 off $150 both triggered so should work out to ~$95 with CR.

  • With Google home they're always listening ;)

Not really. Even if they do they'll die of boredom

I have both Home and Mini. Home is good in living with bigger speaker. Mini is good for bedroom.

    • What do you use it for? Play music and control the Xiao Mi lights?

      • I use mine for the lights and ambient sounds for sleeping at night

        • OK, so what lights do you control? Xiaomi lights? Or other brands? Thanks.

      • exactly. my kids love to talk to it for music and I have 13 xiaomi color bulbs around the house. you can also use that to control chromecast which I didn't find it useful. way easier to search directly on youtube app.

  • Look like stock is low, no more home delivery and only City and Chadstone in Melbourne got stock. (Didn't check other states)

Bourke St and Chadstone are the only stores in Victoria with an AV department.

That being said, worth checking out your local store to see if they might have it for Click and Collect. My nearest one is Parramatta and although there's not a dedicated AV department, they have a tiny offering of tech products, like the Google Home Mini, wireless speakers and clock radios.

  • Out of stock in alot of QLD Stores
