The "new" updated version of Vegas Pro is on sale on steam. I've been keeping an eye out for this since I missed the similar deal on the version 14 a few months ago.

You can get "VEGAS Pro 15 Edit: Steam Edition" for $99.75USD ($130.91AUD) http://store.steampowered.com/app/689790/
or
get the "VEGAS Pro 15: Steam Edition" for $120.36USD ($157.91AUD)

The Pro (non-edit) version includes the DVD Architect software package for authoring DVD and Blueray discs. You may not need/want it.

!! Note that this is the steam edition, so you are limited by Steam's DRM. You can only have one instance running at any one time. You also possibly need to be online to use it? (Unless someone can confirm if you can use it in Steam's Offline mode?)

        All the other steam sales were weekend long. This post was marked as 5 days remaining (before someone marked it as expired after my previous comment).
        Not that it really matters - deal's gone now! :)

          Yeah that was my bad. I thought the deal was going till 30th November as that's how long the sale is going on the full non-steam edition. I actually missed out on the deal too cause I was busy Friday and planned to purchase it Saturday, but when I went to buy it, it was over.
