Gift Cards purchased with Gift Cards will not be eligible for the $10 bonus

    Got excited for a second.

    • Yeah that would be an extra nice bonus

    • Why? These deals have never been eligible with gift card purchases, plus I'm pretty sure the redeemable coupon cannot be stacked.

Yeah, infinite recursion would be awesome

purchases excluding Telstra & Foxtel Services, Miele & Asko, Dell & Apple Built To Order, Prepaid Cards & Gift Cards, Pre-Orders, Extended Warranties & Delivery

Is there anything you can buy with this….

    • Hmmmm… Probably all the other products that JB Hi-Fi stocks.

So 10% off for apple iphone?

    • Cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon.

    • +4

      10/110 is 9%

  • Single use only? This is stupid

    • Pretty sure that's only for the $10 bonus coupon. Not the $100 one.

Don't give gift cards for Christmas, they often go unused.

Correct, if I'm the recipient cash is king. Say no to cash shaming. Givers of cash should not be any less respected.

if you have something in mind, then get it

Otherwise you are forcing yourself to spend because of the coupon

I ended up buying a useless amiibo last time

    • Yeah I had GC expired on me cuz I kept them not knowing what to buy then forgotten about them in the end.

Just after clarification regarding this T&C:

"Coupon redeemable from the day after issue, instore as a single transaction only."

Does this refer to only being able to use one coupon per transaction or that it can't be used in two or more transaction (no balance carried over)?

Will be buying a Nintendo Switch in the Boxing Day sales, assuming there is decent deals on, so buying 3 or 4 $100 gift cards and receiving an equal amount of $10 coupons to buy the Switch would come in very handy.

don't think u can stack the $10 coupons so u can only use $10 on separate purchases.

      • correct.

      • Thanks, looks like I'll only be buying one then.

    • When you apply the $10 coupon, it shows up as a discount to the item in cart, not partial payment.
If the item is less than $10, the price is reduced to $0 and you get it free without any payment required.
You can stack/combine the giftcards nonetheless and use the remaining $10 coupons for future purchases. (e.g. games?) Still better than buying 1 big giftcard.

  • Does anyone know what the deal is with returns/exchanges etc?

I bought a portable HD and some earphones as part of last Fridays $20 coupon promotion.
Daughter doesn't like the earphones so want to return. Will they ask for me to hand in the $20 voucher or simply refuse a refund?
Bonus would be to give me a refund but let me keep the voucher.

    TIA

    • If they were smart they would allow the refund (assuming it is within their policy) and cancel the coupon so it doesn’t work any more. You wouldn’t need to hand it in, it just wouldn’t work.

    Hello,

I don't have experience buying such gift cards, so it'd be great if someone can shed some light.

I'd like to buy a laptop for $598. If I were to buy 5x of $100 gift card, do I receive them instantly via email, just so I can use it instantly to buy the laptop? And then receive the $10 per $100 gift card within 7-10 days?

    Thanks!

Can't stack em. One $10 bonus coupon per transaction. Pay attention.

  • Does anyone know if JB gift cards can be used for purchases from the JB Education portal?

    • No, it can't be used

Gift Cards are not redeemable for JB Hi-Fi Education Orders, BYOD Portal Orders or Family and Friends Orders (Including goods purchased from these websites).

  • Code isn’t working for me online. Some of those great 9.95 deals are online only. Will attempt to order through store clerk

  • Does it matter whether it is an e-Gift card or not? (i.e. if I select 'send via email' vs 'send via post')

    • +1

I bought an e-gift card for $100 from the link here.

I wanted to get something for $298.

      I used the $200 GC I got from the Telstra porting $49 p/m deal + $100 e-gift card I purchased.

Bought the gift card 3 days ago. I'll find out in 4 days if i get the $10 coupon. Will keep you posted.

      • Thank you! I assume it'll work for both as they don't specify in the t&c's but just wanted to be sure :)

I bought an egift last time and got the $10 coupon

        • @CVonC: Thank you!!

    • I bought an eGift card and received the $10 coupon code today

      • when did you buy the egift card? i bought mine 4/12/17 but still no sign of the coupon $10.

    • Got my JB Hi FI coupon through email. All worked out.

  • +1

From ozbargainers experience, how long does it take for your coupon to arrive?

  • Anyone has a spare coupon code can be shared? I need to buy something tonight but it is too late to get it from JB now.
Please PM me. Thanks a lot for your kindliness. :)

(I can give you back my code later once it is ready)
