Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-RX100 III Digital Camera $654.97 after Coupon Code + $100 EFTPOS Card Via Redemption @ Ryda

220
xmas17

Total comes to $754.96 + a bonus $100 EFTPOS Card. Pickup from Sydney store (or add posted for $9.95). Aus stock and Aus warranty, cheaper than any Asian imports I've found.

I phoned Ryda and they said the deal will finish "a few days before xmas". I've entered the expiry date as Fri 15 Dec (but it could go for a bit longer).

This camera overheats easily for recording 4K.

      But this doesn't record 4k

Ok, it’s the IV overheats. Does the III overheats for 1080p video recording, let’s say for 30 minutes?

Ps. It’s not cheap if it doesn’t record 4K.

        • I have the IV. No overheating from video and I regularly shoot 20-30 mins. If you get over heating, you can try pop the screen out so it's not touching the main body. I haven't had to do that yet though.

        He overclocked his, hence overheating.

Bought an RX100 IV yesterday at DigiDirect at King St in Sydney. They have a 15% off Cyber Monday deal - and then then the $100 EFTPOS Sony rebate.
All combined, we'll be up for $815 which I thought was great. Ryda works out to be $906.96 using this code and the EFTPOS rebate.

Awesome price for an incredible camera. Well done.

  • Unless one lives near Ryda and can pick this camera up, I think TGG's deal of this camera (15% discount code + Sony's $100 eftpos card) is slightly cheaper for $662.45 for C&C from any TGG's store that has stock: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/sony-cybershot-rx100m3-digita…

Also, if one purchases this camera by 6pm today (or any of the other items in their Cyber Monday deal), there are different store credits up for grabs. With this camera, there's $50 TGG's store credit on offer as well: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/cyber-monday

  • This or a6000? (Looking to replace Canon 600d with something lighter. Mostly use Av, P or Auto with standard kit zoom lens)

    • A6000 if you see yourself wanting other lenses down the track or want better low light performance, otherwise the rx100iii is fine. If video is a priority, get the iv.

  • I have this camera - just know that they video format they use is weird, you need to convert it.

Wouldn't recommend this cameras as they were too many problems.

    • Please explain!

      • I've had the camera for 10mths and there have been issues: focus/zoom stuck, major lag, buttons not alway working. The grip thing coming off. Also you need to buy an extra grip to make it easier to hold.
