Not sure how well a washing line deal will go down on Ozbargain but if you don't like it please don't 'hang me out to dry'

If it ain't a good deal, we will take you to the cleaners.

    • One of the most useful things I've ever bought. Great for East, North or West facing balconies. From Aldi. Not sure of price, but probably more like $30 then $70.

    Maybe NSW only?

2 x 8mm masonry wall anchors (fixings not included)

    ?

    • Yeah not sure, haven't opened the box yet.

    • The plastic bits that go in the wall once youve drilled the holes included but not the screws.

      • +1

The plastic bits are called masonry wall plugs.

Masonry wall anchors are the metal bolts, like dynabolts.

        • Yep. I bought this clothesline so just telling you what i got in it.

  • $64 in S.A.

  • $64 in ACT

  • $64 in VIC.
Believe it is NSW only after playing around with some post codes.

    • Thanks, I've updated the post.

      • Got me excited though - i was actually looking for one of these to replace an old one. Spewing!

        • I've been meaning to buy this for ages as we don't have a proper washing line at the moment. Was putting it off as I have too many other jobs to do around the house but when I saw the price drop I got my wife to go and get one straight away!

  • Can someone please post a copy of your purchase receipt here so we can price match at our local bunnings store

    • They don't usually price match their own stores AFAIK

    • If I remember I'll do it tonight when I get home but it won't be until after 8pm NSW time.

  • Just threw one out. It's a spider magnet. Never again.

Considering versaline. Does anybody have any other good suggestions?

    • 1 year warranty on line, 5 year warranty on frame

How long did you have it?

    • What if you retract it after each use?

    • +2

Use surface spray to keep the critters away?

    • Thought it might be. But what if u Mortein it once a week? Most clotheslines attract spiders in some nook or cranny

    • Sure if you retract and spray it'll probably be fine. Just ask yourself.. will you bother?

Versaline disconnects. Bit of a pain. But once it's inside the house, no more spiders. But it's $$$. And frankly the profit margin seems crazy high based on what I think manufacturing costs would be. That's why I'd like to know if anyone has come across any good products?

not as much fun for the kids as a hills hoist

    • Use as a flying fox? Lol

      • More like a Bungee I think

  • Thanks OP. Picked up 1 at Rydalmere - remembered this deal randomly while driving past. 2 left on the shelf for anyone looking.
