Sony Bravia KDL40EX600 LED Television $995.50 Free Delivery

70

Hi, I have been waiting for this deal to appear again. Dick Smith had it for a short time and does not seem to be coming again. $995.50 for a Sony LED 40inch with free delivery seems nice. Thanks

It's only 50Hz. Not very smooth even while watching normal motion TV - forget sports.

pfft, as if, i have a 50hz tv and it's better than most 100 or 200hz sets, all it means is that you will never get any of the ghosting that you get with the heavily processed image on the higher hz sets.

      • perhaps, you have not observed it carefully. You will want to replace your set once you believe that it's true pfft :D

if you have to observe closely to notice then why?

though i'm biased against paying more for so called 100/200hz tvs since i dont watch sports.

  • meh . I've looked at a few of those 200mhz motion smoothing sets and it looks really unnatural , like it's in slow motion or something .

which ones - palsonic or vivo? :D

    • mhz /= hz

  • Great price.

  • What reasoning forecasts "Dick Smith had it for a short time and does not seem to be coming again." . A sale is more like a preview of what it will cost regularly.

  • this is the worst, spoke to somebody from the site and rang sony and not one person can give me a straight up answer to find an authorised repair centre near my place…

Edge-lit LED LCD is overrated. Very little, if not same picture quality when compared to an equivalent standard LCD model. But yes it does use lower wattage.

  • This particular model is the second lowest in its category..after some samsung model that came out in august while this one has been in the market since Febuary. Looks like Sony nailed power consumption this time
