Does that have tracking? I bought 2 of these, one from Zapals and one from BG and both never arrived.

    • +3

Yes. I received this after 13 days and had to sign on delivery.

      • +2

13 days for "priority" line shipping hey? Guess it's better than 6 weeks.

Would a 20000mAh powebank be permitted in carry on baggage on planes?

    • +1

I just flew to and from Bali with one, pulled it in and out of my pocket when they were doing searches and no worries

    • +3

As long as it's in your carry on it should be fine, it should not be in your checked luggage.

    • +1

      Yes*

*Dependent on airline guidelines. For example, Qantas states powerbanks must be in carry on luggage and must not be checked in.

    • Yup. I took multiple powerbanks on Jetstar to Japan.

    • Had two 20k mAh powerbanks in carry on. Been to parts of asia, US and Greece. No issues.

    • Went to Japan with 2, had them in my carry-on and they were fine. Flew with Jetstar.

    • Took mine through china, as long as it has the MWA on the label it's fine afaik.

    • Carried a larger capacity one throughout Asia with no problems.

    • +2

According to Virgin Australia, the maximum permitted battery size is 100Wh.

To calculate the watt hour capacity, the formula is mAh * V /1000 = Wh

      The battery specs indicate 20000mah @ 3.85V.

      So 20000mAh * 3.85V / 1000 = 77Wh

Well below the maximum permitted size.

  • could not use the coupon :(

      Try 20000ARSES instead

      • Hahahahahaha was that really the code? roflmao

  • Will a sleeve purchased for the non-2C version fit this one? I bought 2 in anticipation of the two power banks I was expecting, and they didn't arrive.

Debating whether I should wait for ZMI model to drop to around this price. Or buy two of these and make use of the silicone jackets I've already got.

    • You will grow old before that happens.
These are good enough for most people and at this price you can buy one for each device.
The more aesthetic round shape and extra device charging (3 vs 2), seem the main improvements.
Or you could just buy one of the ZMI.

Will it charge a Nintendo switch well?

    • +2

No. It wont work with Switch. This one doesn't support USB PD.

      • It will work just fine, PD just allows for faster charging.

        • +3

Okay, I mean you cannot charge and play.
NS must be turned off while charging by this power bank.
For charge & play 15V *2.6A power supply needed. It's written on the back of NS.

        • @gf923: thanks, I'm having a hard time finding a good one for the Nintendo switch. I've been looking for awhile and they all are in the u.s.and don't ship here or are only 10,000 mAh.

Any 20,000-32,000 mAh Power packs anyone can recommend that has a supply of 15v * 2.6A. I've checked Whirlpool, YouTube, Google and running out of avenues.

        • ZMI 10 QB820 20000MAH, That one works great with NS. It supports USB PD as well as QC 3.0. Could be the most powerful power bank on the market. Buy from bestgear or Lightinthebox or Joybuy. They do shipping Australia.

  • Can this fast charge (QC) iphone X ?

    • +1

I've heard iPx can't do more than 7.5W or something until there's an update. You won't get the full charging speed.

And I think their version of quick charge is USB PD.

      • 7.5W is for wireless charge, the recent ios 11.2 updates enable iphone X 8 & 8P wireless charge at 7.5W

iphone x supports USB PD quick charge for up to 15W.

        • Ah right. I confused it with something else.

Still this power bank will only charge at normal charging rate.

    • No. iphone X support USB PD fast charge, This power bank support QC. Different standard.

For fast charging iphone X, you need to get a USB type-C to lightning cable from Apple. Then any brand power adapter (or power bank) which support USB PD.

  • Cheers TA.

  • +3

Thanks TA, saved 5c on your advertised price and paid $33.28 ;)

  • Thanks TA, got one for the girlfriend!

  • Question. I have a iPhone 7plus which dun have QC, so this is overkill?

    • +1

It works fine with iphone 7 Plus. Faster than the 5W adapter, As it supports apple 2.4 fast charge. But QC wont be activated.

      • Thanks for the reply. Think I might be better off just getting the normal xiaomi power bank in that case.

  • I've got one from banggood, similar price on their last deal. The only issue with these is that it won't fast charge if it's being charged. They are a bit heavy, but they'll charge my phone 6 times from empty. I reckon the 10 would be more use day to day. Great quality though, xiaomi stuff is decent.

  • Thanks OP

  • +2

I only need one arse not 20000 arses.

  • is there any indicator that its fully charged?

    • +1

Yes there are 4 white lights that indicate charging level. You can just see it here

  • I love to see the one that has usb c type. I am having two of the 10000 usb c type fast charge one and I love it

Not sure if it was on the GearBest's landing page but OP(tightarse) has mentioned in the description.

  • Expired?

    • Yes…no more left?…expired.

      • Yes. 20000ARSES has expired.

  • Coupon has expired. Now on a flash sale for AU$34.59

  • Amazon Australia has a Vinsic 20000mAh one for $38.99 with free freight.
Or $5.23 freight for expediated delivery.
Not much more seeing as the Gearbest flash sale doesn’t have free freight.

  • What's the cheapest this has been and what are its other 20000 plus mah battery bank competitors?

Thinking of keeping one in my bag for emergencies.

Cheapest other deal I could find

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/341275

    $28.61 AUD / $21.93 USD

  • Damn been waiting for this but alas unfortunately too late and expired

  • I guess it bottomed out

    • +6

You can still get it much cheaper for $17.99 with the coupon CyberMondayGBAU4

      • +1

        Where were you yesterday? :(

        • I've just tried to cancel my order, fingers crossed.

      • +1

Actually $17.99 is without shipping, and it's also in USD.

Code is now coming up expired for me.

        • Code showed expired for me but still worked? Order placed

      • That's USD not AUD though, leastways that's how it came up for me. Works out at around $33 aussie dollars inc delivery if you use the Cyber Monday code.

        • It comes out to AU$29.64 with Cyber Monday code.

$17.99 which is less than $25 USD, and then $5.70 USD to ship it.

        • @lostn:
I can't get it that low. Code brings it to $33 for me

        • @Skexis: Are you using the right code? Did you add insurance? Remove it if you did.

  • Just used BrodenIt's coupon and got the power bank for $31.45 AUD including shipping/tracking/insurance.

  • anyone got theirs delivered yet =/

  • Nope :)

  • Received mine today.

  • Received mine today. A bit heavy.

  • Got mine today too. As above, fairly chunky and a bit weighty. Plugging in to charge it in full - let's see how it holds up!

  • They haven't even shipped mine out yet. What a joke for Priority Shipping. No explanation given as well.

    • could you pls pm me your order number for chekcing?
