Upvoted just for the code =P

    • I'm saving my votes for the ultra-thin joke(s)

      • Do you prefer a maxi?

        • This was not the joke I was looking for 👋

        • @muncan: I'm sorry to disappoint you

  • Would this be suitable to power the Xiaomi Dafang and/or Xiaofang cameras? How often would you have to recharge it?

  • +7

Code sounds like some crims prison experience

  • Will be receive it before 15 Dec ?

    • Says 5-10 business days, so you'd hope so.

    • +3

Priority Line shipping (Australia Express) is 5-10 business days. Should be here by end of November.

      • Ordered one.

        Cheers

      • +1

It's gearbest add at least 1-2 weeks longer than their longest estimate

  • -5

  • +13

Thanks, added another to the pile for the upcoming "SA Power Networks presents: Summer Blackout Extravaganza 2018!"

  • Awesome. Thank you.

  • +5

Is this a good deal? Yes.

Do I need another one? No.

    • +13

Did you buy it? Yes (if not, you have to surrender your OzB badge).

      • +5

        Surrenders badge

      • +3

Runs away hysterically shouting "I'm an Ozbargainer, you'll never take my badge!"

  • Does this work with Switch?

    • would like to know this too .. anyone ?

    • +1

Yes, works fine with Switch so long as you have a USB type C cable. May not power the whole dock unit though - haven't tried. Also, will not charge at the same rate as the charging block.

I have a Switch and it works fine with these.

    • My 20,000mah Xiaomi power bank doesn't charge particularly fast, but still fast enough that you can use it while gaming and it will slowly increase!

  • +52

just to clarify, people use these to take electricity home from work?

    • +21

Sweet jesus, why did I never think of this?!?

      • "Sweet jesus, why did I never think of this?!?"
        Ditto.

    • +5

I do it the other way ;)
Why spend on electricity at home when your work provides for free?

    • +6

That's why I own multiple Xiaomi Power Bank. I go around stealing electricity.

    • +8

you have changed my life sir

    • +7

This is what I do, except for uni.(Damn if I have to pay 12k a semester I am taking some filtered water and electricity home with me)

    • +2

Yup, currently charging 2 at work

      • +3

How much money do you save per charge?

        • +1

          It's not much.

        • +2

Enough to fund all those 1-20 cent deals during the year ;)

        • Correct me if I'm wrong but I have 2 20,000mAh powerbanks which works out to be 200wh per charge and using my current per kwh cost excluding supply charge, I save 5.8c =) and I do this every other day.

    • +1

This is exactly what I do. It's awesome.
Trust me I've done the maths.

  • good xmas pressie, thx

  • Great price TA. Picked one up for a Christmas Pressie, cheers.

  • +1

I DON'T KNOW WHY I NEED ONE BUT IT'S NOW MINE!

  • +5

Hands up everyone that went to checkout and saw the price as $11 and thought SCORE!! Pricing error! Then reality struck when shipping was added…..

Anyway thanks OP, still a decent deal, got a couple of cheapy Xmas presents :)

  • -2

Wish we had some codes for the 5000mah ones. I would rather buy 6 of them than 3 of these

  • Oops accidentally reported as expired, but didn't realise that it puts the "order" through even if you haven't paid, that's why it didn't let me apply the code again :) Thanks!

  • thanks, got one, didn't know i needed it. But I didn't realize it was going to charge me in usd as it was showing aud the whole time and now I paid with the wrong credit card.

    • Did you buy using the mobile website? I swear it always happens to me when I'm on mobile.

  • code ARSEFRENZY doesn't work?

    • Did you already apply it to the order before? Check your "orders" page, and it should be sitting there as "unpaid".

      • What does this mean? At what point during the payment process do I need to bail out to have an "unpaid" order?

        • I clicked through to Paypal but didn't confirm payment.

        • Thanks. Tried that - didn't work for me but I got scared at the "continue" button on paypal so maybe didn't go far enough.. :(

        • @kwalikum: Once I got to the Paypal stage and bailed they sent an email thanking me for my order and I was so confused haha.

  • +2

The Code you entered is not for this product.

    • Did you fix this? I'm getting the same.

  • Grand Total AU$26.21 is this right?

    • no should be $17.29

  • +1

Gearbest's priority shipping is kinda ridiculous though. Got SOOCAS X3 with priority shipping and $1.25 CREE torch with free shipping on 3rd of this month. Torch came today but SOOCAS X3 is still in Hong Kong according to tracking.

  • +1 got eeem

  • Thanks for the Frenzy TA

  • Thanks TA. got one.

  • Thanks , got one

  • Thanks, got one. Love the tip RE: charging it at work i.e. stealing electricity!

  • Ta, got one

  • ta, got one for $17.29

  • Wouldnt this be a better deal, being double the storage for $11.40 more?

    • That's twice the weight though. And it's not Xiaomi ;)
Depends on your needs (weight, capacity and aesthetics)

      • And it's not Xiaomi ;)

I bought my Romoss sense6+ 2 years ago on Ozb advice alone as romoss deals used to be posted all the time, but have since seemed to have stopped, idk why.

Also all that matters is the quality of batteries used inside the powerbanks, not the brandname.

        • Efficiency of the conversion circuit too…

    • Also no Quickcharge

  • +2

Code expired as I was checking out, thankfully noticed the paypal basket had gone back to full price.

    • same here

  • Aww. Just expired :(

    • How is this expired with 3 days and 450-odd units left?

      • +1

Flash sale is different from applying a coupon

  • "The Code you entered has expired."

    Seems I missed out. :(

  • Any codes for the 10,000 pro TA?

  • Expired

  • Damn missed it :'(

  • Missed :((

  • +5

    missed too =/
guess i will have to compromise

    https://www.gearbest.com/other-camping-gadgets/pp_425046.htm…

  • Now I want one…..Though I have two already. Rep or TA can organise more stock possibly?

  • So they charged me $32 on my paypal instead of the $17 it said on the website on checkout.

    Did anyone else get this?

    • Code must have expired mid purchase.
Just contact them to cancel and they'll refund you.

      • Yeah I hope so!

      • their support suck.

I've just got a email they've really shipped my product. Even through I created a Cancel Order ticket right away which they said they would reply within 24 hours (been almost 36 hours).

their 24/7 chat is also not actually working.

hope paypal has some sort of mechanism for a chargeback or whatever if they don't reply soon.

        • I'd push for a refund of the difference then if they've already shipped it. You'll have to be persistent via your ticket, or maybe contact the rep on here for help.

        • @bamzero:

yeah it turned out that they did actually respond to the ticket. But it's not emailed to me - you have to go on the site and check it yourself (?).

They've also refunded the wrong amount. I just had a check on the invoice on the site, they've actually charged me the wrong amount (the invoice says $20 + $6 postage) and the paypal payment is $32.

So they invoiced me the wrong amount and the invoiced amount isn't even the same as the amount they actually charged me.

Not sure how this mess came about.

Now that they've shipped it - I'll be expecting they refund me the difference or a full refund if they want me to ship it back (at their expense).

  • +1

    Mine arrived today.

  • Ditto, arrived via Auspost @9 days

  • Still waiting in VIC and tracking doesn't work.

  • Received today. Great little unit.
