      How dare you!!???

      Jokes… welcome to Ozbargain!

    • -3

Why am i getting neged for asking?

Going to call my bikie friends to kick the crap out of all of you :)

      • You are getting nagged because you think everyone who posts deals here receives commission.

        • Lol…why so serious??

I didnt think everyone was receiving comission. I just wanted to know if the op had any association.

People should ask questions you know. Not just blindly follow.

Btw i dont really give a s#$t about negs

        • +2

          @Bluberry:

yeah obviously you dont give a shit about it.

        • @baldur: Yawn…

        • +1

@Bluberry: If the op was associated, it would be clearly visible at the top of the deal.

      • We don't have friends remember? - only each other…

  • +4

As WatchNerd has indicated, the second and third listed (AU1080-38E & AU1080-20A) says WR30 (not suitable for swimming) - the StarBuy site says WR100 which is incorrect.

  • Wish the CA0590-58A came im a black dial

    AU1080-38E
    AU1080-20A

Can't believe these 2 have Sapphire glass and some $400+ ones only get Mineral Glass. Seriously!

If only CA0590-58A had Sapphire glass I would buy it!

I'm waiting on this one https://www.starbuy.com.au/citizen-eco-drive-radio-controlle…. Looks like a fantastic watch.

    • +1

That a nice looking watch, but unfortunately you likely won't be able to use the radio-controlled feature unless you travel to Japan, Nth America or Europe.

      • Yeah I know, apart from setting it manually, apparently there is an app you can use to set the time. The only other thing is I would like to wear it every day, and I don't think the leather band would be up for the job of taking a bit of a beating.

Could anyone who wears leather in a hands on job give any feedback? I have a SS Citizen at the moment and its taken quite the beating over 7 years, but still no scratches on the Sapphire glass. the band and case is a little worse for wear, but as a daily it's been the best money I ever spent on a watch.

        • You could get another after market SS bracelet with straight endlinks. Leather is pretty tough, but obviously needs to be kept dry. Hard to comment without knowing the activities you might do. Rubber would be ideal, but might not fit the style.

        • +3

Could anyone who wears leather in a hands on job give any feedback?

I'll ask them for you at my local brothel on my next visit.

By the power vested in me I hereby absolve you of all blame and absolutely all residual guilt concerning the urgent and vital acquisition of this quintessential horological masterpiece. Amen.

          @PJC: Jesus Christ!

I hope thats the right religion.

        • @Bluberry: I forgive you.

        • +1

          @PJC:
I bought this one https://www.starbuy.com.au/citizen-eco-drive-stainless-steel… from the Citizen site, as I had a 50% off voucher. I may still buy the one you linked. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks!

        • @smpantsonfire: A 50% off voucher! I've actually gone to their Pitt Street office 3 times to collect watches and have never been given a voucher. They must like you.

        • @smpantsonfire: What is this 50% off voucher?

          Where???? How????

    • You can’t see what time is in the night,is the only lack

      • Yeah I saw that. Such a shame!

    • Agree. AU1080-38E & AU1080-38E don't have luminous hands otherwise I would buy one.

  • Now Seiko’s SSG005P1 would be good for my collection

  • Any seiko deals? Btw thanks for the post.

  • Says code not valid - CA4210-16E

  • +1

How hard is it to change straps? Those nylon straps are kind of ugly…

  • @Munki..changing straps no problems just match the width where the strap pin is or better yet read the instruction and follow any of the plethora of you tubes guides ..takes about 5 mins tops.
Do check the NATO straps, they look better on watch than just naked in pic.

Just a general to all comment…. does any hate the Seiko 5 watches due to the crappy emblem…?

  • +4

Hello all. Looks like there was an issue with the number of times a code was added. This is now fixed. Anyone who ended up paying the full $199 will have a refund sent over shortly. Thank you.

    • +1

Thank you. Any chance of replying to Member giovannip please?

    • +1

You should hire WatchNerd as your company mascot.

You could get him to wear his WatchNerd lycra superhero outfit and fly around doing deliveries.

I'd certainly buy more from you.

      • +2

HaHa. He pushes hard on the prices of the pieces he likes which makes us work a lot harder. Never met him like all good superheroes but we know he exists.

        • +4

I managed to take a photo of him once: https://goo.gl/bPGHCy

        • +3

@Scab: Just as I pictured him albeit not a watch in sight.

Hey mate(StoreRep), any chance of getting any such awesome deal for https://www.starbuy.com.au/citizen-eco-drive-radio-controlle…

asking for a friend. He really likes watches, this watch looks perfect. For him. That friend is me. I don't mind the radio control as I really like the watch.

      • +1

Hi rhymingboxer. Just checked with the boss, that boss isn't me, and the lowest we can do this for you will be $265. Only 3 left in stock. Please let me know and we will change the price for you. Thanks

        • Hey mate, thanks for the reply. $265 is way over the budget for me. I ended up buying Citizen Eco-Drive CA4210-16E from you guys. :)
I will keep an eye out for your deals in future in case I can get that sweet ass watch for a bargain.

        • @rhymingboxer: Thanks. Of course.

        • When you sell out of the last 3, is that it? Will you get this watch again?

        • @smpantsonfire: More importantly @Star Jewels will you be giving any further discounts on boxing day? :-D

        • @smpantsonfire: Its impossible to know when or if a certain model will be back. Too many variables however buy price and quantity available are the main ones. Thanks

        • @rhymingboxer: Absolutely. It will depend on what we have left behind. Thanks

        • Hi rep, wondering what the ozB price you could do on the AT8105-53E (Currently $369) might be? Otherwise the above at $265 could be a good option. Thanks!

        • @Jitboy: Hi there. Sorry for the delay in replying. The $369 is the lowest possible price on the Radio control. We are down to the last one of the CB watch and are not showing any more stock coming in just yet. Its a really good seller for us so if we are able to get more stock in at the correct price, we will definitely buy in quantity.

          Thanks

      • +1
        • Yes!! And then let us just hog Star Jewels to give us a discount :-P

  • -5

All assembled in China so resale value will be poor - street cred even worse.

    • +7

You should only ever buy watches that you like, don't buy them to impress others.

My experience is the complete opposite in regards to resale. Citizen has a good name in the watch community.

      • -3

You can kid yourself that you have a Japanese watch when you buy these but they are Chinese (other than the movement). There's a reason they are so heavily discounted - Japanese made don't get discounted like this. It's common knowledge that Citizen and Seiko watches assembled outside Japan have poorer resale value.

        • +5

I never said they were made in Japan. Do you really think I don't know what is made where? And how sure can you be if a watch that claims to be made in Japan doesn't have any parts in it from China?

Even if the resale was poorer, who cares. I'm not posting these deals for people to make money.

There are plenty of overpriced Chinese fashion watch deals that get posted on here, but I can't recall you criticising them. Very strange.

    • +3

      Street cred?
Chicks go wild when they see me with one of these.
Mind you they go wild when they see me anyway so yeah, data point of zero…

    • +2

Can you confirm where these are assembled please?

      • Thailand. Japanese made G-Shock watches can be identified by a 'JF' extension on the model number.

        • Thank you. So you too were not kidding yourself … but we know who plus-voted your deal post.
