LG V30+ $999 (from $9 Variable Shipping) in Black Only (and No B&O Earphone Redemption) from Dick Smith (Kogan)

70

Comes with the following:
LG V30+
LG QuadPlay Earbuds
USB Type-C Cable
AU/NZ Compliant Generic Charger

On checkout, there's a sim starter included (remove it at will…)

Unlike the JB HiFI deal - at $1199 - where you can get H3 B&O earphones via redemption (within 10 days of purchase, up to Dec 24), these don't have the redemption offer [http://www.lg.com/au/promotions/V30promotion]
Probably the reason why the price has dropped on the Note 8 in places…

Kogan ALSO offers the V30+ variant: https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/lg-v30-128gb-black-lg/

Note: delivery varies by postcode, but Melbourne and Sydney CBD is $9

wow that's quite expensive, considering Galaxy S8 can be had within $8xx range not too long ago…

    • … and considering that I paid AUD$485 for my shiny new LG V20, and have seen other deals for quite a bit less.

Can't see myself upgrading to this it seems.

Grey or local? Grey market V20s are excellent value IMO.

        • I picked up a local V20 990DS from eBay for $440 (20% off deal), it even included B&O H3's:) Loving the quad DAC, I use it as a DAP (it's too ugly for a phone LOL). Once the V30+ drops sub $600, I'll probably replace my iPhone 7…

gadget, Must be a Grey Import "In the Description… AU/NZ Compliant Generic Charger" Dead Giveaway. Stuff that.

@megod: actually, it was $450ish for local stock from Allphones (Mobileciti). I bought one for my wife.

        • A few people have replied already, but local for $440 last time there was a 20% eBay deal from Allphones

      • I paid $360 for my V20 on one of the previous ebay 20% off deals ….. not sure what extra this phone does for $600.

Faster CPU (Snapdragon 835), OLED slim bezel display, 128GB. Great looking IMHO as good as an iPhone X. Shame they didn't go to 6GB RAM though, still on 4GB.

          @mostlygordon:

Come on now, "as good as an iPhone X" is a little insult to V30 itself… It could be said that iPhone X would look as good as V30 if it loses its oddly looking notch…

        • @bagachin:
Actually, I think the V30+ looks better than an iPhone X, no ugly notch in the display. Oh, and that wicked metallic purple SKU;-)

        • @mostlygordon: 6Gb ram available on "signature edition" - only 300 made, released in Korea. Has your name engraved into the back. No idea what the price is…

Just been released. If it’s typical of lg phones will drop soon.

    • This isn't a competitor to the S8, rather the Note 8

  • Whats difference between V30 and V30+

    • Only built-in storage capacity

Wait, didn't Dicksmith go out of business?

    • +5

They did, the brand name, trademarks, some of their inventory and user database was sold to Kogan.

Price will come down to less than $500 like the V20 did….. and when it does, BANG I'm on it like a fat kid love cake.

    • Yeah this is an amazing phone for this year. Hopefully goes to $600 soon

      • probably take a year to get to $500 as it would be one of LGs flag ship phones and they would need something ready to replace it.

    • I want either the V30 or the Oneplus 5T either phones looks amazing.

  • Decent price but as usual for LG phones, wait a few months and it will drop

  • Hey OP, just a note on your description:
"Kogan offers the V30 variant only (has 64gb, instead of 128Gb for the V30+)"

They do offer v30+, same price. Link below

LG is well known to suffers from bootloop issue. There is no permanent fix except a replacement. It means data lost. Never again that I will buy LG products as LG has knew this all along but did not recall their products. Any solicitor here should start a group action on this matter.
