Bunnings Exchange Voucher

Hi

I had to return something to Bunnings worth about $100 without a receipt. I was given a store voucher but I can't think of anything $100 to buy. Can I buy something some cheap garden soil and get change back? The voucher seems to indicate a change limit of $29.95, so what happens if I buy something cheap? Will I just get $29.95 back and lose the rest?

Thanks

  • You normally get the rest on the return receipt… But honestly, they're banking on a lot of people losing the receipt

Maybe go to Bunnings and ask people to buy you out?

For what it’s worth, even if you do lose the original exchange voucher another will be issued and sent to the address you provided 6-12 months after the initial return was processed if the original hasn’t been redeemed.

  • There's no T&C's on the voucher? Have you called them? Call them while they're open?

  • Light bulbs? Boots? Gloves?

They were stuff my dad bought when he was in the same dilemma

  • There is always stuff to buy from Bunnings, especially if you have a garden. Tools, paint, potting soil, plants. I used to laugh at my Dad's addicition to McEwans but the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree.

You will get another exchange voucher automatically printed for any amount more than the $29.95 ‘change’ allowed.

Probably a bit late now, but did you buy the stuff on your credit card - you might have been able to give them the card number and date and they could've tracked down the purchase.

I can understand Bunnings not accepting the stuff without a receipt. Depending on what it was you might have bought it elsewhere or you might have shoplifted it and returned it for the money. I keep all my receipts in a plastic bag and then throw then out about every 6 months; making sure to sift out the warranty ones first.

  • I am sure Bunnings will be able to give an authoritative answer?

    10 PRINT "Buy Esky"
20 PRINT "Buy Beer and Ice"

    Run

  • Use it at the cafe

  • Its bunnings, you can find something. Suck it up, and buy something. They sell cleaning products, buy a heap of washing powder if you have to, new mops, washing baskets.

  • Buy 4x things at less than $29.95 on four different receipts. Refund them individually to get the change.

An exchange voucher will be given as a return on items purchased with a voucher

  • It can't be that hard to find $100 worth of stuff to buy in Bunnings surely.

  • I'd get $100 worth of sausage sandwiches, you can't go wrong.

Who can't spend $100 in Bunnings?

  • What if I buy something that costs $125 using the $100 voucher (topping up with card), then I refund that item later, what do I get back? $125 voucher or $125 back into card?
