    A bit offtopic, but I was just looking through this site and was about to book flights… how legit are www.budgetair.com.au ?

    They don't seem to be an Australian company (despite the web-address)… I had a lot of trouble with some flights via an overseas third-party this year, basically impossible to make a change whilst overseas as they only do it by phone, which is a pain to start but worse, they don't answer the phone anyway! I'm happy to pay fees, but they just didn't respond at all! So yeah, just wondering what you know about budgetair…

    EDIT: Ugh, just found the first annoyance! They charge $100 for using a credit card, which we all need to do to get the free travel insurance and other protections… still cheaper though! But feels bait-n-switchy…

      Arg, SECOND annoyance… I bought a ticket and somewhere along the way they merged my first and middle name… they say this is normal for first name and pronoun (eg "Mr") to be merged on tickets, but the middle name thing seems wrong, they keep saying throughout their site "Hi (Firstmiddle)!", it really seems they've merged them…

      I tried to ring them, "the office is closed, ring back in office hours"… 11:30am here, where is your office and what time should I ring?
      I emailed them, "they will respond in 24 hours", but I need to get them before the ticket is issued to avoid potential name-change fees (which are super hefty!)…

      Frustrating!

      Budgetair are fine. I have booked trips with them in the past and had no issues.
