MISTLETOE

Subject to the restrictions set out in these terms and conditions, the 16% promotion code may be applied to a qualifying stand-alone hotel (not a hotel booking in combination with any other product such as flight + hotel, or flight +hotel + car) booked online with cheaptickets.com between December 11, 2017 12:01AM CT and January 1, 2018 11:59PM CT, for 1 or more nights for travel between December 11, 2017, and June 30, 2018. Qualifying bookings instantly receive 16% off at check-out through the use of the promotion code. Customers are limited to two redemptions of this promotion code and up to a maximum savings of $150 per booking. After those two bookings, this promo code will not be able to be used again, even if one or more of those bookings is cancelled. Exclusions may apply and most major hotel chains are excluded. The promotion code cannot be redeemed against taxes, supplier fees, cancellation or change fees/penalties, administrative fees or other miscellaneous charges, which are the sole responsibility of the customer. Discounts are not redeemable for cash for any reason. Promotion codes are non-transferable, not for resale, and cannot be combined with other offers or used for any booking previously made. Any attempt at fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Void where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law. Cheaptickets reserves the right to change or limit the promotion in its sole discretion. Usual booking terms and conditions apply (see https://www.cheaptickets.com/p/info-other/legal.htm) and all bookings are subject to availability.

  • Can not find where to enter the code?

    • +2

After you hit ‘select’ button, it takes you to the checkout page. Just above the words ‘Debit/Credit Card PayPal’, you click on ‘Enter a coupon or promotion code’. If that is not showing, then it does not qualify.
For All - go to Cheaptickets via Ebates for 1.5% rebate.

  • Have never booked with them, assuming they are as good as booking.com etc.? And I couldn’t work out how to change currency in the app, anyone?

    • Regularly 16-20% off - should be plenty of feedback on here

    • +1

Booked with them multiple times. No issues at all. Sometimes I had issues with the hotel and they stepped in and resolved it for me.

Been using them for a few years now on many trips. Consistently cheapest after the coupon code, and never let me down. Highly recommended

    • I highly recommend them. You pay in $USD. No problems with refunds with cancellations.

    • They're an Expedia affiliated (clone?) site so it's the same as going through Orbitz, Expedia, Wotif etc. same prices too except there's almost always a coupon code floating around with at least 16% off.

    • Thanks all.

Thanks OP! Found a good deal for a hotel on another site, but with this code, beat that price by a further $100!

    • That's the way you do it! Compare, Compare, Compare………..oh, and read Tripadvisor reviews! He He!

    • +1

Happy for you but a friendly reminder to make sure you convert the US$ quote to A$ to compare.

Remember to sign up to cheaptickets.
Sometimes they email u with a 18% off deal, and on rare occassions they have 20% off deal that may last 6 hrs - In which case you cancel and rebook.
As I said earlier, they are very good with refunds.

    • Book first then cancel first one.
That way you know at least one room is confirmed.
I then contact the property directly to ensure they are not confused

  • As prices are quoted in USD, does that mean if I book an Australian based hotel, will my card be charged in AUD or USD (with the FX fees)?

    • Anyone?

    • +2

If you are using your credit card directly with the site, your card will be charged in USD regardless of where the hotel is. If you are paying by PayPal, you have the option of paying in AUD but the PayPal exchange rate is usually to your disadvantage.

In the long term, consider getting a card that does not charge fees for foreign exchange, see wiki page on the topic.

  • This is nuts. All these Expedia brandings with different currencies and discounts.

It's $35 cheaper than my refundable Expedia booking so I have to cancel and rebook argh.

  • My experience with this site is that it's iun USD and will charge your card in USD so be aware of the AUD equivalent amount (which in my case was no better than wotif/bookings.com), and that your credit card issuer may charge you like 3% extra foreign exchange fees. Not recommended for using.

    • Cheaptickets has lots of deals (Read their previous deals) and USD usually well covered. Plenty of ways to pay without fees and exchange rate loss. But, of course, always shop around.

    • You may want to get a card with no annual fee and and no foreign exchange fees. See wiki page on the topic.

Regarding the USD/AUD rates, I've often found some sites (eg Agoda) will charge a much lower rate in AUD than the USD conversion of the day. Depends on what deals and when but it pays to compare!
