    good price for Rocket League

    • But all I wants is Yooka-Laylee :(

      • +1

I got yooka on ps4 and to be honest… slightly let down.

        • +2

I already have it on PC and Xbox One. I haven't finished it yet because I want to finish it on a Nintendo console, to try and recapture some of my N64 childhood.

  • +8

Rocket league, overcooked and steamworld dog 2 all great.

Rocket league only just released on switch to about 3 weeks ago (at which time I payed full price)

    • +12

      steamworld dog 2

Much better than Steamworld Cat, imo

    • +2

The co-op for overcooked works perfectly with the multi-controller on the switch too.

  • +2

Might get sonic forces for some quickies… Xenoverse too expensive with dlc's.
    Ping pong sounds interesting.

I'd probably end up with nothing

  • +1

Have PP Tetris and LM Avengers prices gone up during the sale?

    • Sorry, I messed those up

  • +1

lol PP tetris is more expensive without sale? lool

edit: btw are we going to get a sale in Australia or we have to go to UK site ?

    • +2

The sale is here, I just linked to the UK site so you can look up AU prices by logging in, Australian site doesn't have prices atm.

  • +2

Don't forget majority of the DLC for Rocket League is on sale too!

    • Thanks. Any suggestions on stuff that is the coolest?

      • totally the batman or back to the future car.

        • Does the Batman car still give you an advantage or have they fixed that?

    • +1

Damn it, really. So I could have saved 6 on the game itself, then I caved and bought the Delorean, and could have saved more? This is heavy.

    • I ended up just getting the first pack. Seems the best value with 2 cars and textures etc. Batman didn't let you as toppers or no customisation.

  • +3

no mario kart sale for switch? sadfase

    • +1

It’ll sell the same even without a sale.

  • so we need to sign up a new account in UK website?

    • +1

No, login with your AU account to see AU prices, if you don't you'll see UK prices.

  • +7

    Monopoly for Nintendo Switch

    normal price - $19.95

    sale price - $44.96

    Hmmmm….I see is a rich man's game….

    • +1

      Fixed it up.

      • +2

Thanks but that was a good laugh for the day!

    • -1

Everything is a rich man's game. Whoops can't say that! Banned from Youtube!

  • +2

    No Zelda :(

    • +2

First party Nintendo games rarely go on sale on the eShop, sorry to burst your bubble

  • +2

Wow, quite a decent sale Nintendo! Going to grab Rocket League and Steamworld Dig 2. Should keep me busy over the Christmas break, thank you.

Wish the Zelda DLC was on sale.

    • +4

Doing the same. Wish there was a sale on eshop cards top double dip savings

      • +3

I am using my left over eshop cards I bought on discount at EB a few months back. Glad I invested in them back then.

        • +4

I got $300 then so should keep me going a while. Down to $220 now.

    • zelda DLC is too new.. maybe in 6 months?

  • +5

Anyone else waiting for Stardew Valley to go on sale?

    • +3

I just bought it, the price is incredible reasonable for how much value you get out of that game.

      • How much did you pay?

        • +6

$17, and have put in 50+ hours into it. Well worth the full cost. The maker said he wanted to price it as reasonably as possible.

        • +2

Agreed. I've put more hours into Stardew valley than Odyssey.
If you like Animal Crossing you'll dig this.

  • You cannot purchase the download version of this game, because the country associated with your Nintendo Account, or the country associated with your Nintendo Network ID in the case of Wii U or Nintendo 3DS family systems, is not supported on this website.

    • +1

Yeah Australian accounts can't buy of the website for some reason, have to do it on the console.

  • +2

Any suggested good games for Switch?

    • Was thinking the same. Might go dragonball for a laugh.

    • -2

      Yes lots

    • I haven't been able to put down Rocket League since it came out. Steep learning curve, but once it clicks…sooo much fun.

      • +2

It's the one game I cannot stop playing regularly since it came out ages ago for PC… Auto buy for Switch but its kinda hard moving from 160fps high rez to the switch…

Saying that it doesn't do anything to stop the addiction, the skill cap is literally unlimited and now it follows me on the train/bus etc…

    • +4

      Octodad: Dadliest Catch
      Blaster Master Zero
      MIGHTY GUNVOLT BURST
      Shantae: Half-Genie Hero
      Rocket League
      Teslagrad

  • +1

    I only want zelda

    • +1

      And Mario Odyssey

      • +1

Games honestly well worth the asking price, nintendo are unlikely to lower the price of these first party titles any time soon. You are better off looking for a way to get gift cards cheaper then buy these games or look on ebay/gumtree for secondhand copies.

        • Zelda price is 89.95 in eshop and 75 in big w. No much difference if the eshop drops 20% and without commissions to the retail.

        • @scratchback: Better to have the physical copy since storage costs money

  • +1

I'd recommend Mummy and Shovel Knight.

  • Really want puyo puyo tetris, but even $41.99 is a rip imo. <$30 and we're talking.

    • +1

The demo version lets you play couch 1v1, thats what I've been doing til the price drops

      • +1

Since you're like me, you might also want to check out the JP version as it lets you play 3 matches in a row unlike the english version. Plus I prefer the voices more.

    • +1

Like tre180 said, the demo is available. I love the demo. It's also the only demo I've got that doesn't count toward the play log thing, good thing too, I don't need Nintendo telling me I spent more time in a demo for Tetris than I did Zelda. Great demo.

      • i think its cheaper from the US eshop, can't remember how much after conversion

    • I bought Puyo Puyo Tetris from US store at release for $40 and have put over 150 hours into it. Well worth the price.

  • +1

Does anyone recommend the Jackbox Party Pack?

    • +1

yes I got it last night to play with a couple friends, lots of fun!

    • Jackbox Party Pack is awesome if you have a group of people to play with. I own the first three on PC.

    • It's showing its age a bit.

  • +1

You can buy HAS-BEEN HEROES for $19 at EB Games.

    • The combat in that was so convoluted… and it feels like a cheap game made in flash. The animations aren't anything special either. I wouldn't spend more than $5 on this.

I got mine free in a Switch bundle from EB.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/328819

$380 for the switch, which is already a pretty good deal, AND the game? They must have way too many unsold copies.

      • +1

EB (Gamestop) were the distributor for it so had a heap of copies.

        • I wanted to also say that you'd never see Zelda or Mario Odyssey bundled together like that for that price, at least not for a long time. imo it must be a cheap game, and it certainly feels cheap.
Style feels like Etrian Odyssey but hacked together.

  • No I Am Setsuna :-(

    • It's not that great anyway

    • It was just on sale, it must have just finished. I bought it last week for $35.97 down form $59.95

  • Bit OT, but what's the deal nowadays if you just want Wii Fit? My mother's physio is recommending it, but I'm supposed to chase it down. Googled it but can't figure out what console etc. I'm supposed to get - it's like it's discontinued or something.

    • +2

Where are you? I think I still have it For Wii U floating around you can have.

      • North of Sydney. Is a Wii U the console that'd best to get for the Fit stuff? Not the Switch?

        • +2

That's the thing, there is no 'Switch fit', its called Wii Fit. SO the Wii U has the thing you balance on and the Wii Fit game thingy.

        • +2

Switch has no fitness software. If you want fitness software, you must buy Wii or Wii U

        • @shizmo: fwiw I think EB has second hand Wii’s for $44 or so currently going from memory. Think I saw a sign 3 days ago in store advertising that price. The Wii U is substantially more ($180ish or more).

    • +3

EB Games should have pre-owned copies of Wii Fit (or its sequel Wii Fit Plus) with the Balance Board for $9 - but stock is random, so it's best to call them to confirm. The game can be played on Wii and Wii U consoles.

  • +4

Damn it, I didn't need Rocket League, but I bought it anyway when it came out. Should have saved 6 bones.

I guess waiting all those months for a sale on Namco Museum will have to make up for it.

    • +5

Best sale you are going to see on switch games for a while. They seem to be few and far between

      • -4

Yeah but high prices and boring games (at least to me) do not a sale make

    • +4

It's Nintendo. These tend to be the most you'll get off on sale. It's not the same as steam sales or other gaming sites.

Combined with discount eshop vouchers it is a good deal on some of these games.

      • -3

Doesn't mean I need to be complicit with it. I'll keep my wallet closed. Nintendo isn't as unique/special as it likes to think (although with the switch being portable they are more now than they were)

    • +1

      Username checks out

    • -2

      Loving the negs

      Free speech biatches!

  • Has anyone been able to use their credit card to buy directly from international nintendo eshops? is there a particular credit card that works overseas?

    • I used a prepaid card last time in US store

    • I believe the Eshop doesn't allow international cards, however you can easily buy a digital eshop code from target/walmart/amazon and use that!

  • Do I need to buy this off my switch or can I log on through the switch site via my laptop?

    • +1

You need a switch right now!

  • No comments on mario and the rabbids… Worth the buy?

    • +3

It is, but it's so close in price to the disc version. If that doesn't bother you, go right ahead.

      • Thanks mate. The filesize was only a little over 2gb so took the plunge and purchased, enjoying it so far!.

    • +1

      Yes. Not at this price.

EB had (have?) the collectors edition for the same price.

The dlc likely sucks and the game isn't that long, so buy physical then resell soon

  • +1

Hmm dont know if these prices are actually that much cheaper. I definitely remember buying Puyo Puyo™ Tetris for $30USD on launch

  • Just be careful if you're going through the UK site some are actually cheaper on the AUS eshop!

  • Any suggestions for 3ds title guys?
Just bought one, still playing monster hunter 4 and having a blast 😁
Honestly i didnt expect this much fun from a handheld, made me think to get Switch as well

  • +4

switch sale underwelming. Games you won't normally get for a tiny discount

    • +1

You're not wrong, but there's a few alright things. I grabbed "Unbox" for half price and am looking forward to playing it. I saw a trailer pre-release and it caught my attention, but 45 bucks is more than I'm spending on this thing.

Namco Museum is the same thing, sure I don't need it and already have most of the games on every other machine, but at half price, I'll gladly jump in.

But aside from a few things like that, yeah, it's nothing amazing or anything. But most sales aren't anyway.

  • Anyone played has-been heroes? Have been tempted to get it and now the sale price makes it even better!
