    When you said the Chinese cheapo's quality is questionable. How do you meant? I've got one and it's pretty effective and I don't see it break in anytime.

      I got the original of this from japan. Was in airport giftshop for $10 aud. This one does not really seem like a deal.

      That said this style of bottle opener is fantastic!

    Justify why this more effective or an improvement upon a blade style opener, or any other traditional method of opening a bottle (Bic lighters included).

        The arthritis aspect is very true, and I suppose people who have lost fingers/hands…my life would be meaningless without beer, so I can sympathise if this device allows the less fortunately fingered to be able to enjoy the God's nectar as well.
