2018 wall calendars, it is bloody hard to get one showing 2 months revolving, can someone help?

Okay, so I've been looking and I can't find one, the two month calendars I see require you to write out the whole month a second time which is stupid as eating shit.

The concept isn't difficult, you have January and February showing, then at the start of Feb you fiddle with it and scroll it so that February and March are showing. No writing out the whole month again.

Single month wall calendars have always seemed stupid as when it is late in the current month, you have no quick glance option for next week / month.

If I can't find one, I'll buy two hang them both up and swap them physically over each month, only filling out one month each time.

I'm a bit confused. So on one page you want Jan/Feb. Then on the next page you want Mar/Apr?

Or do you want a big January, with Dec and Feb in a small window at the bottom?

      Hmmm.

So a typical calendar flips over each month, picture at top and month at bottom.

Now imagine a calendar with no picture but month month, when Jan is over, you slip January around the back which pulls February to the top and brings March from around the back. So that way you can always see the current month and the next one in one go.

The whole point of a calendar over a planner is that you can look up to see important events at a glance, when it is 27th of a month, to see what is coming up next week, you have to stand up, flip over the page, might as well use a planner.

      • Ok. Got it. Thanks

You could make one yourself on VistaPrint

        • Taking a look, cheers

        • Can't see the design I'm after, just photo and calendar month designs.

@FabMan: Print 2 months to the page. Then tape 6 pages together & voila you have a one year 'revolting' calendar!

Why don't you buy a calendar with a month a page (with maybe a picture on the back) and then rip out the old month and blu-tac it next to the new month, so you don't have to write it out again?

For Jan, blu-tac it next to Feb and start writing on both.

    • you beat me to this lol. I said the exact same thing haha

    • Valid suggestion, just wanted a it looking a bit nicer that is all. The two cheap calendars also work.

  • how about you print some off pinterest and just blue tack them onto the wall?
If you buy one it will probably just be expensive if you want to play around the months like that

I've seen some calendars that have two months per page, and six pages per calendar. The first page has a picture at the top, then February in the middle, and January at the bottom.

The second page has a new picture at the top, then April in the middle, and March at the bottom.

During January, you can see the Jan and Feb pages. When January ends, you tear off the January page, and you can then see the February and March pages. When February ends, you tear that off and you see the March and April pages. And so on for the whole year, always displaying the current month and the next month.

The only calendars I've seen like this have been from large Japanese manufacturers, who send them to their distributors.

Badly worded or not a solution…………"has 6 pages", should still have 12.

"The second page has a new picture at the top, then April in the middle, and March at the bottom." conflicts with "When January ends, you tear off the January page, and you can then see the February and March pages."

    • That's clever. Sounds like somebody has seen the need

  • Can’t you use outlook ?

  • I just googled "two month calendar" and got quite a few promising hits for what looks like DIY calendars.

You can go crazy and also get 3, 4 and 6 month calendars…

Or do you have your mind set on buying one that's already printed?

    • I also Googled the same thing and saw the same results.

If each page was printed with the months "reversed" (ie Feb on top, Jan at bottom, then April on top and March on bottom), it would work exactly the same way I described above - tear off one month, and the next month is conveniently displayed.

      • Yep, however you have to write out the month again.

        • ?? I thought this would be exactly what you need…
First page you're written on Jan & Feb.
When Jan's gone you tear it off - your notes for Feb are still there, and now you see March.
When Feb is done tear off page 1, you now see March and April.

Am I missing something?? (I'm only going by pjetson's description: I've never seen one.)

        • No you don't. As pjetson described above, calendar looks like this:

          Feb | Apr | Jun | etc.
          Jan | Mar | May |

Each column is a sheet; the subsequent ones sits behind the others.

When you get to Feb, rip Jan off and you have Feb sitting with Mar below on the sheet behind. When you finish Feb, rip that off and you have Mar partially filled out and Apr blank, etc.

The ones I saw have many months showing, but the same problem exists when you get to the end of the 3 month calendar, you cannot see the following month. It is just Jan Feb Mar, then Apr May Jun, if you are at the end of March, you cannot see what is happening im April.

It seems like an acceptable flaw in the calendar system.

      • With the scheme as I described, you can always see the current month and the next month.

        • Tear offs, yes you are right. Another accepted downside is that you have to write the month out again, not the worse thing in the world, but would be better if you could slide current month up to replace old month, don't you think?

I have seen the calendar I'm describing at a company, just cannot find online.

I think they are called accordion calenders. Haven't seen a wall version but have seen a desk version in the past. They fold open like an accordion so when you can open it up at January /February and then next month fold away January and open up march. Something like this :

    • This is pretty much it, different design I saw but same concept, thanks.

It's hard to find good usable calendars. If you don't find what you're looking for, just buy a calendar printed on good quality paper with decent sized day squares to write on. Then cut each page out and tape sideways in an accordion style. Then just open up 2 months and hang on 2 nails on the wall. I know it's fiddly but would work.
I gave up on wall calenders and now just use wall planners by sasco for everyone at home including the kids. It does look odd in the kitchen but I don't care!

Wait… people still use printed calendars?

  • I'm too dependant on having information travel with me, particularly being able to update anywhere rather than carry information back to home base.
I can see nothing on phone calendar, but at least the info's there if I need it.
Googles calendar shows 5 weeks, so usually in the last week I can go to next month. It sucks when a month ends on a Sunday, so the month finishes cleanly on a page and I have to jump back and forth between months.
