    If only the Taxi industry did this more often. Used their network of taxis to build a sense of community and partner with commercial locations like Shopping Centres, Councils etc.
    They'd stand a chance.

    Taxi industry needs to introduce a rating system like Uber has so they can weed out the bad drivers and cars then they might start getting some clients back.

          You can get out if stuck in traffic in the parking lot. Normally drivers offer to drop off at another entrance away from the main parking area (cinema entrance)

    A lot of unwarranted bashing of Highpoint and Taxi's here. Highpoint is great compared to 20 years ago when it got its bad name, I prefer it over Northland, Doncaster etc. Probably even nicer to shop in during the Christmas crush than Chadstone.

    Also Taxi's are still a great service, the guys drive maxi cabs all day long on Christmas day helping out old and mobility impaired people get around to see their families and friends on xmas day. This isn't a service you can get everywhere at a reasonable price. Uber and the like aren't really equipped for it. Give them a little credit for the work they do, it isn't glamourous.

      With uber-flation, I find myself on a normal cab more often again now. They do good work and are professional most of the time.

      Had an Uber driver say to me once: "why you get in the back seat? This is not a taxi you know?"

        Haha, tell the Uber driver that if you wanted to seat in the front seat, you would have asked your mate for a lift!
