[Android] Credit Card Manager Pro $0.99 AU (Was $6.99) @ Google Play

300

Hi all, I'm the app developer and has been developing this app for 2 years now. Currently doing a sale for it, feedbacks are welcome!

I wrote this app because I have 12 credit cards at that time like most ozbargainers (or not) so I had trouble managing all my cards to make sure I paid everything in full before the due date while utilizing the interest fee period, and utilizing all the cashback promotions and promotional offers. Thought you guys might find it useful!

You may try out the Free version before you buy, Free version is fully functional less a few nice to have but not critical features as listed below.

Features:
- Simple design
- Ad-free
- Works offline
- Due date reminders
- Record transactions
- Statement/outstanding balance estimation
- Mark payment as settled
- Shows statement/due/next due/cut off dates
- Sort cards by longest interest-free period
- Annual fee waiver reminder
- Backup/Restore feature
- No need to worry about online account being hacked
- Monitor SMS for transactions [Pro feature]
- Attach photos in transactions [Pro feature]
- Add/edit categories [Pro feature]
- Personalized currency symbol [Pro feature]
- Pattern lock [Pro feature]
- Add recurring transactions[Pro feature]
- Monitor credit limit [Pro feature]
- Compare interest rates [Pro feature]

Cheers and Merry Christmas!

Offer ends 31st December. By the way I made it 99 cents AU while it's 99 cents US in the rest of the world :)

Disclaimer: The app works totally offline (you can check its Android permissions) so it is not connecting to your bank accounts to steal your info :) Though some would expect the app to automatically pull data from their transaction accounts to auto populate data, this app require manual data entry unfortunately :( The Pro version do scan for any transaction sms and try to automate some data entry work.

  • Great idea!

    • Thanks mate :)

  • Does it mean we have to entrust your app our CC details?
If so, how can we be sure that this information won't be accessed or stolen by you?

    • thats my concern too. how secure is it

      • +3

you only enter your CC expiry date and CC type (visa/mastercard), everything else is either what you use your CC for, spend limit, next statement due and so forth

Thanks, you are right the app doesn't ask for any sensitive data. You shouldn't enter any sensitive data even if the app asks for it anyway :)

        • @iori57: The trade-off is that the manual input requirement makes it not entirely worthwhile for those with minimal expenditures or very few cards. Otherwise, it's a good app (thus the upvote), just not very useful for me.

        • @Leidenia: Yup it is not for everyone. By the way transaction tracking is entirely optional, you can just download the free version, add the few cards that you have (set and forget) and the app will remind you to pay off before the due date and also remind you when annual fee is due, useful for those who wish to cancel their card if they don't agree to waive the annual fee. Cheers :)

As mentioned in the last paragraph, the app does not have Android Internet permission so it couldn't send any data out :) Also the app only ask for last 4 digit credit card number. The app is more like an offline reminder and to record your transactions so that you can cross check with your actual statement. Cheers!

  • What's the usp over established products like pocketbook?

    • Never used it before so not sure. I suppose if you just need a simple app for the most basic usage this could be it. Cheers

How on the earth could you jump to this conclusion?

I don't understand what all the negs are about? I can see the guys point, gone into a market not researching his competitors and creating a service. If they want to charge for it, it's probably a business rather than just a hobby. But who goes into business without knowing the competition and what they are doing?

Pocketbook does all this but automated. If you are concerned about privacy I guess this works, but if not pocketbook is free and automated.

@knobbs: There seem to be a lot of people blindly supporting store reps, especially when they tell some sort of story. There is no way you can run a successful business without knowing your competition.

    • As mentioned in the last paragraph, the app does not have Android Internet permission

That itself is a big USP, the thing is to Push and sell it, that's the challenge for OP, best of luck man.

      • Thanks bud :)

  • How is this different from a spreadsheet template. Is the information dynamic? I bought this because I'm a self confessed idiot

    • Don't be too hard on yourself..
      - Nicer looking than spreadsheet template
      - Android reminder notifications for payment due, set and forget
      - Statement amount is automatically calculated after cut off date
      - Able to monitor sms to automatically create transactions
      Among others

If you think of any expenses recording app, they are like spreadsheet template too, but they are easier to use and nicer looking I guess..

      Cheers!
