From what I can tell there’s only 10 in stock so get in quick tomorrow.

  • +1

Wasn't this about $250 on some crazy shopmonk sale?!

This is even cheaper with cashrewards, don't forget Qantas FF and Virgin FF.

    • yes it was, series 1 though, about 6 months ago

    • +2

Yep, I regret not getting on that $250 deal. But now the Sony 1000X M2 has come out, it seems to be a better pair of headphones with higher audio quality, more features and cheaper too.

      • +1

Who gets Bose for the sound quality? NC features should always go first when you are considering the QC series.

        • The noise cancelling is just as good in the Sony from all reviews I have read. Definitely looks like the clear winner to me..

        • @nubzy: oh okay, yeah you should have mentioned how NC quality compared

        • +1

@nubzy: The Sony has an audible hiss when the music stops playing or paused. Absolute dealbreaker as the Bose is absolutely quiet in comparison.

  • Can someone TL;DR me why this is such a great wireless headphone

    • +39

You need this to get your ozbargain licence.

      • +2

        Good enough for me.. sold.

      • +1

and if you do any sort of regular flying they are must-buy, I reckon it’s about 70:30 these:Sony on flights. I wear mine just for the reduced noise on a small plane, usually playing nothing through them just for the noise cancelling.

See a fair few of them on public transport too

        • I don't do much or any at all flying atm but I do being my tablet around in my bag and listening to stuff wirelessly would help cable worries enormously.

Have been experimenting with sub $10 Bluetooth earphones and stuff and so far it is good but the sounds quality leaves a lot to be desired.
Just looking for my next durable multipurpose maybe even water proof under heavy weather and stuff long live battery decent wireless headphones I can carry in my bag when I'm not using it our rest on my shoulders etc.

    • It's all subjective but many consider this to be the best noise cancellation headphones on the market to a price point. Some say the sound quality isn't great and might prefer the Sony WH-1000XM2. I know from wearing them they are very comfortable, very few headphones I can wear for extended periods of times such as flight which these are designed in mind of. Ultimately it's up to you and your own subjective experience. Some people might balk at the price of headphones being $300+ might like they do the iPhone X or any other product at a premium price in a varying market but nobody is forcing you to buy them. Try them and others on, find what you like in your price range.

      • Can you recommend me any others at lower price points?

        Trying to find the main difference between one at $50 / $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 etc

What's the lowest you would consider?

Or what is the next decent cheapest you would consider.

        • +1

Depends because as I said headphones are one of those things that are highly subjective. For some they can just put on any pair and be happy. For some sound quality might not be a big issue but comfort is or some might want longer battery life. You have to weigh up the pros and cons and figure out what features are most important to you. If you are like me any big purchase like this requires a bit of research and consideration before the buy. I really recommend going into a store and trying some on. If you want cheaper and not fussed about noise cancellation maybe look at some of the Audio-Technica products that have been posted as they have a great reputation but honestly I'll leave it up to someone else with better knowledge across the range to make recommendations for you.

        • +2

@UponOccasion: second the recommendation for audiotech…
The question right now is do you want wireless. If you do, lowest with active noise cancelling will be your sennheiser 4.50s which have just dropped to below 200. Go up?30 and you could pick up the Sony model (sorry… Can't remember number or name) which was considered Sony's best until their latest came out. They were rated as challengers but not quite equal to bose.
There's debate about comfort… Many still rate bose at that level but then the real question is how long do you plan to continually wear them for? If you regularly fly 14 hours, bose is yours but there are issues with sound quality (which is a regular critique and many ppl don't mind…) and the pressure from the way the headphones respond when flying to create the noise cancelling effect.
The Sony's that are around 330 have different effects to deal with this and according to most reports better audiophile quality, especially if you have a Sony phone, and last longer (30 hrs per charge maybe?)

How low? Bluedio t2s with no noise cancelling for around 50 are surprisingly good when combined with music at keeping mid to high level noise out which is great in an office or on public transport, but you will hear a lot of low engine noise. For me, that noise is fine because it resembles white noise and is constant whereas people talking, phones ringing, etc is just a pain in the ass.

Finally comfort is key… If you can handle in ear, you can get a great pair of anc for around the 200 mark that also work well for creating a seal in the ear against most forms of noise and can be more comfortable to sleep on/with. Wait… With on? 🤔 ☺️

        • If you can handle the in ear buds they are probably a good choice, particularly if you pair them with some Comply foam tips. I find in ear ones much better for sleeping on planes.

        • @TheRealCher: probably a stupid question but are there any wireless headphones that are shower proof or water proof lol for like swimming and stuff listening to music in the shower without a Bluetooth speaker.

        • I use the Jabra Wireless Move @ $65. Not noise canceling but good enough if you're asking about price points on Bluetooth headphones. 12 hr battery life, microphone and decent quality.

        • @AlienC: not that I know of, in terms of on or over the ear.
All of these are earphones https://headphonesaddict.com/best-underwater-bluetooth-headp…

        • +1

Sony MDR100ABN are cheaper and as good as these if not better. They are at 50% discount priced at $228 @ addicted to audio

    • Good noise-cancelling, very colourful HQ setup, ear-rumbling bass. They are good, comfortable. Great for regular travellers/commuters especially flights. I would not recommend them for a quiet ambience setup though.
Nevertheless, I do love my QC25s (wired older version) but I use the ATH-M50x a lot more day-to-day.

      Hope this helps!

      • Having tried one I can certainly agree with 'Good noise cancelling' but 'ear-rumbling bass', seriously? Tell me you're kidding.. This one has got one of most balanced sound output I've experienced in a head set. And that is far from 'ear-rumbling bass'. My advise, if you love leveled crystal clear music without outside noise, go with this. If you're after bass, just look elsewhere.

        • The bass is good but far from perfect. I think it clashes with the NC aspect. Having said that, my ATH-M50x probably have less bass, albeit clearer. Very balanced for sure.

        • @mrsinistah: Agree. The bass is pretty decent. The soundstage brings it to life. It's got a "sweet" sound. I find the Sony versions too "technical" and the sound doesn't inspire even if all the specs are better on paper.

    • See reply if I missed the reply button haha.

  • +1

I have the original QC35 and absolutely love them. Upgrading from the QC25 was totally worth it, wireless freedom on a long haul flight is just brilliant.

  • Personally satisfied with the sound quality, though many reviews claimed the Sony and Sennheiser ones are better. The ear pads are very durable, which the glued cloths separated after a year of 5 hours+ daily usage with sweating (My Beats Studio Wireless 2 has that problem 5 times quicker). I sewed that myself and it lasts for months until now.

  • Nice first post!

  • Any ideas about how much can a QC15 limited edition (i.e. Brown leather) go for these days? Thinking of upgrading

  • Great headphone but very hot for summer outdoor use, would be the case for all over the ear/ear warmer type headphones.

  • when does this start?

    • sorry to specify what time exactly?

You guys lack the ability to read or lazy. C'mon you can't be a deal hunter if you don't read the details

SOLD OUT before PUNCH even started. Looks like other customers enjoyed the $399 price or weren't aware of the upcoming ebay code

  • Lol… sold out before eBay deal is even available. Looks like 1 item off from my want list :D.

  • So what is this up vote for??

  • Mobile Express have them for $410 which comes with the 10% off to $369

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bose-QC35-II-QuietComfort-35-Wire…

    • +1

Can't use PUNCH on this either. I don't think the code was ever going to work on these even if the original 10 didn't go out of stock. Ebay T&Cs fail

  • +1
    • "This code can't be applied to your order." (PUNCH)

    • +1

      I can't PUNCH it

      • or Microsoft wants to keep it safe and doesn’t allow anyone to “PUNCH” it.

    • Shoryuken (Dragon Punch)!

    • Will this item be restocked soon? Was about to buy and it suddenly went out of stock :(

  • PUNCH works now! HURRY before the deal is KO'd!

  • Voucher now works. PUNCHed it through!

Shame though, I already bought a pair from Videopro. :(

    • got myself one too. hopefully delivery doesn't take forever

      • It will. It's mega sale period. 10x usual volumes. Expect a longish wait (ie. no this week).

        • How long should we expect the item from videopro then? 1 week? 2 weeks?

        • @Curkz:
Cool. Thanks. Have you bought from videopro before?

  • are there any stores that will pricematch so you can pick up in a store?

    • doubt that very much. thats the tradeoff in getting it for $360. you gotta wait about 10 days

      • Harvey Norman will price match to the actual Microsoft store or Videopro selling this at $399 - If you have an Amex with the Harvey Norman offer, this can also be stacked

  • I was eying for this for a long time and grabbed one.

  • Oh no, I thought about it too long :(

  • FAR OUT MISSED OUT ON THE BLACK ONE -_-

    • Back in stock.

      EDIT: Sorry, sold out again.

  • The QC35 II don't come with the airplane adapter?

    • +1

Not any more… You can pick one up your self but I think the idea is future forward looking… Bose think most people flying will have own devices or tablets as airlines increasingly shift to individual entertainment units…

Its funny how as ozbargain folk we'll deal with the $350 for headphones but the bastards left out the ten dollar piece?????? 🤔 ☺️

      • +1

I understand what you are saying but it's always good to have other options.

Not providing the airplane adapter is no great loss since I picked up a few airplane adapters for 50c back when Dick Smith closed down, but it's somewhat stingy coming from Bose.

        • +1

Totally agree. For a top of the line product they should be including it. I suspect it's a part of a very small group of market research… They're forgetting that for many these are investments that will last multiple years, and not just a daily commute item

  • +1

    Item back in stock… :)
