Shamelessly, officeworks have dropped the price on these to avoid pricematching JB. Cheaper than JB too.
JB has pretty much sold out of these speakers (in VIC, only two stores were showing stock). If it is convenient, better to go to officeworks.

There's no shame in officeworks reducing their prices, just as there isn't any shame in going to OW for a price beat.

Great set of speakers and also qualifies for next day delivery if you're too lazy to pick up during the boxing day madness.
They must've just changed it because I price matched this at Officeworks this morning.
I went there earlier and they refused to price match. Like a beaten man, I was driving back and decided to call another officeworks nearby. They said, don't need to pricematch as the price is $88. I reconfrmed if it was the same model. Later I went and picked it up.
If you didn't bring it up in the jb thread I wouldn't have checked online, was going to go instore to check it out. I just did click and collect so I can pick it up later in the day and avoid the rush.
JB had sold out when I went there @9:30. I tried to support, but they didn't have stock and I didn't have any intention of driving to Bendigo. Please check the stock availability before lecturing.
I tried JB this morning and there’s stuff all stock in SA, so ended up price matching at Harvey Norman’s.
All JB Stores near me (SE QLD) showing stock, but hey for the same price delivered…. :) Thanks OP some new speakers for the office.
Nah I'm sure this was because of me because I told the ow guy jb had it for 88, didn't bother saying $88.90 and he had a quick glance at my phone then said thats fine. Put it through for 88 then beat to $83.60. Price changed online soon after. was the most casual price match I encountered. Didnt even confirm himself on the jb site or check for stock. good man.
Browns plains dont have stock even though their system says 2 in stock. Placed a pickup order then and there.
either a stock error or usually one setup for display and the other one could be for an online order. most people click and collect xmas day and take up all the stock.
Site has removed it but coming up 88$ in store. Keysborough had a couple left.
Wife asked why I needed it, I just pointed to the 400 watt and drooled.

I ordered mine from there this morning and just got home from picking it up. Pretty sure I head one of the staff saying it's a steal I picked up a couple myself.
Been using my Z523 and very happy with it. I know Z623 is a better speaker set, but is it noticeably better?
One of my concern is that Z623 power rating is 200W vs. 40W of Z523. Does Z623 always consume a lot of electricity like 200W as long as it's powered on regardless of volume level? I usually have my set turned on permanently for the whole day. Thanks!
The Z623 will only draw close to 200W when you play something bass-heavy continuously at max volume. Otherwise when it's on standby and no sound is played through the speakers, it only consumes a few watts.
My Z623 woofer box runs slightly warm when it is on and nothing is playing, nothing near 200W, maybe 10W at idle.

picked up one from OW for $88 after calling both Bourke St and Melb central stores which were reproted as having 3x each. there were about 3x more left at carnegie OW

For y'all purists, they have some odd behaviour at certain frequencies, but with a bit of EQ love they now sound pretty darn on-point… I got my curve from here: http://noaudiophile.com/DSP_Corrections/Logitech_z623.php
I spent three days playing with the EQ (including noaudiophile's settings), still didn't like how it handled mids and highs. Perfect for EDM and gaming though, the bass rattles every window and picture frames within a 30m radius =)
And no I'm not a purist, I think I'm just used to a certain sound texture and I'm too old to change… :)
Z623 has been around for like 10 years.
