Was about to buy the Garmin DriveSmart 61LMT-S 7" GPS Unit from the recent 20%off ebay selected stores (ryda deal) but decided to wait it out till boxing day to see if I could get it cheaper. Just finished my boxing day shopping and was happy that I got the Garmin for $238.40 from JB HiFi earlier today. Seems that they are advertising 20% off TomTom and Navman but it seems that the Garmin GPS prices are discounted as well. Some other notable GPS deals to be had too at JB.

  I've been eyeing off this GPS for months. Haven't seen it much cheaper than $299 so this deal or very good.
  I'm wanting it for a driving holiday around England in August, so I have to factor in buying the UK maps.
  I doubt it'll be this cheap again so might have to jump on this deal. Thanks OP

  We done England this year using a Garmin Drive 60. The reason I purchased the Garmin was because of BaseCamp (Pc based ).We pre planned 18 days of driving . Also recommend taking a safety camera we have a Mobius + a USB storage battery used it in the car on buses and boats .

  Purchased.
  On my way to pick it up soon. Now just have to keep an eye out for UK maps on SD card.
  Thanks for the advice bitsnpieces, I intend taking my dashcam too to be used as evidence against for all the possible carnage I could be responsible for whilst driving in a foreign country :)

  Full UK and Europe maps on SD card purchased via Gumtree $39 delivered.
