i'd want to know what the foam is like in these. alot of the cheaper chairs have foam that goes flat within months of using it.

    • milan direct chairs will be fine for years, you might be referring to the $100-150 lookalike chairs that may wear out quick.

    • I've owned mine for about 7 years or so now and the foam is still going strong.

  • https://www.templeandwebster.com.au/Zelda-Adjustable-Ergo-Of… this one is on sale too for a good price. I've have the same chair for a over a year now and it's still in perfect condition, no signs of wear in the mesh or armrests. Very comfortable too.

    • Does your chair have the ability to rock backwards when you lean back? I'm looking around for something with this feature but most of the chairs seem to only allow locking at certain angles rather than freely rock backwards when you lean back.

      • Yeah you can have it unlocked

        • How comfortable is the seat on that chair? The butt padding looks pretty thin.

I bought this chair around a year and a half ago and wouldn't really recommend it. The padding/mesh material has been fine but out of the box the wheels barely worked and its impossible to adjust the back tilt beyond 2 fixed position.

    Recommended Weight Limit: 120kg

    Not suitable for Ozbargainers.

That is very judgmental and rude. I am 119kg so it is fine for me (as long as I do not eat a kilo of KFCs $9.95 Tuesday 9 piece deal plus $5 sides).
And yes, this was made tongue and cheek.

      • you mean you ate the tongue and cheek as well - that's a bit excessive in'it?

OR you and making the comment tongue in cheek?

  • Does the quality of this justify $50 postage to Gold Coast, compared to other similarly priced chairs at OfficeWorks/Ikea?

Didn't also sell this for $99 about 6 months ago.

    Looks similar

I've had this for about 7 years or so now and it's still going strong and daily seat for me in my home office. Very comfortable and I often nap in it. However, it does gather a LOT of dust in the mesh and the holes and concaved regions of the chair. Be prepared to vacuum it regularly.

  • Similar chair for $60 shipped, less with any eBay sitewide codes.

I got one of these for my girlfriend, a year ago, it's very decent, feels like it's worth much more.

IMO, you either step up to ~$300+ for a chair with meshed seats (no idea why these are so rare and expensive), or you stay under $100 for one with foam seats. In-between doesn't really make sense (it's usually just brand markup), especially when the ~$300 ones also represent a large leap in quality, support, and comfort.

The build quality on this chair vs what's offered in the post is huge difference. The one on eBay is basically a meshed version of the Basic Student chairs that's very much all plastics. The OP's chair is very solid and much more solid frame in comparison (I know.. I've been using it for 7 years).

  • Only 12 months warranty, pass.

I would NOT recommend this chair as I've just returned it. The reasons are as follows:

    1. The chair seems to have been designed for tall/big people. I am 171cm, but the seat is that long that you can't flex the low legs as the end of the seat pushes againsts your knees. As the depth of the chair is not adjustable, it really becomes an issue if you intend to seat for longer than 1/2 hour on it. Also, even though the distance between the armrests is adjustable, it is still quite wide for the man wearing M size shirts even on the minimum setting. I've tried to sell the chair on Gumtree, and the woman who came to try it, pointed that it was too wide for her too.

    2. Another designer's miss- the armrests are covered in mesh. That is extremely unpleasant to the skin of arms, not suprisingly, majority of the armrests of other models are made of soft plastics or leather. Unfortunately, I realised it only on my own experience.

    3. The return policy. The company ruled out my point 1 (long seat base), telling that the dimensions of the chair are on the website. Now the return is treated as 'change of mind'. I have to pay the delivery fees in both ends ($60), may be deducted futher 20% of the restocking fees (minor scratches while disassembling the chair are inevitable), but the worst thing is they don't provide the refund- they issue the store credit. It means you still have to purchase something from their shop.

    4. I'd made the desicion to buy the chair based on the 25 positive reviews on their website. Now I am quite sceptical about those reviews as you can't post the review straightaway- it needs to be submitted to the shop first. I doubt that they would post negative reviews for the items they are trying to sell.

In conclusion, DO NOT buy this chair unless you've tried it and loved it.

  • Does the headrest slide out if not needed? I want the headrest, but the boss says it looks weird.
