500 points is $2.50 with the $20 gift card, which is better than the 10% back for the other cards.

Someone at marketing dept didn't do math at school.

      The maths checks out.

Thanks for posting OP. I'll not buy more Digestives this time because yesterday at KMart I bought 11 800g boxes of Mac's Australian Made Butter Shortbread for $1 each. The staffmember just started using his price gun when I turned up with my trolley.

And you didn't post it here for us?

Not enough remained to meet guidelines. I also bought 5 675g boxes Cadbury Sharing Selection for $1 each. About 8 left at Maitland NSW. I would have bought more but my fridge won't expand.

You could have not bought any and posted it.

@Scab: I had to check them first to make sure they met your standards and save you bringing them back. I was only thinking of you. Then other customers started buying and I realised a post wouldn't satisfy guidelines.

    • How are the local Mac's compared to the Scottish Walker's?

      • +1

A bit less sweet, according to my memory.

  • Is it just for the Milk Chocolate or for all varieties? I love originals as much as I hate Milk Chocolate :D

    • +1

      All varieties.

  • What's the benefit of digestive biscuits?

    • -1

I think they pretend to have something to do with colon health. Or something.

Reality is they're (yet another) source of short chain carbohydrates aka sugar and refined grains and therefore unhealthy

You could have replied as I dont know, if commenting on a thread matters to you.

    • Nothing. For that reason, they are not allowed to be labelled as digestives in the United States.

These are the biscuits that broke up the Beatles. George Harrison became enraged when Yoko Ono ate half the packet of his imported digestive biscuits.

  • Cornettos 1/2 price …. time to stock up.

  • For some strange reasons, these biscuits taste really good, after a 10 hours shift, I feel quite good digesting some sugar, I know it can be unhealthy, but mehhh…

    • +1

They don't taste as sweet as other biscuits, so they're very moreish

Lol wow someone definitely cannot maths

    $20 + $30 = $50 with 1,100 points
    $50 = 1,000 points???

    • Is there a limit per woolies membership? So can one keep stacking $20 & $30 combos and collect, say, 5,500 points?

      • +1

There is a limit of 10 cards. I just purchased 2 $20 cards and can confirm that they do stack (i.e. I received 1000 points).

    • Thanks for your Maths; bought a $20 and a $30 just for that extra 100 points ahaha. Might grab some more before the promotion ends

  • +1

So I am going to buy $20 x 5 = $100 worth of Google Play cards using the Woolies e-Gift card at 5% off. So that should cost me $95 and then get 2.5k points rather than the 2k for the two x $50 options. So I'll be up by 500 points ($2.5) plus the $5 so saving $7.5 all up. Winning!

  • Can I buy a few $20 in one transaction or have to be separated?

  • I bought $20 (500 points) + $30 (600 points) and got 1100 points.

BUT shouldn't I also get 50 points for spending $50?

    • No because you didn't buy a $50 card. You bought a $20 card and a $30 card. Which happened to cost $50

      • Don't you get a point for every dollar you spend? Regardless?

        • Sorry, I misread your question. I thought you were asking why you didn’t get 1000 points for technically spending $50.

          No idea; sorry.

        • @kerfuffle:
Well you said you bought the same denominations as me. Did you get only 1100 points?

        • @skywalka: Yep. I don't think you earn standards points on gift cards and app store cards at Woolies, unlike Coles.
