Free Large Slurpee @ 7-Eleven Via Fuel App (When It's over 32 Degrees)

980

Seems to be available in some cities.
Temperature must reach over 32 degrees, however it still gives you a barcode to scan anyway.
There's 4 of these available in the offers section of the app.

Nice find, it'll be 32 this Friday and 41 on Saturday…

    • Nope, won't hit 32 on Friday, only 29. Saturday is the go.

Let’s all hold hands and hope for global warming so we can nab a free slurpee
We need trump more now than ever

    • And Tony Abbott.

        Noooo… ,
        not Phony Clampett
Bring back the evil eyebrows before that embarassment.

        • +2

Don't you want free slurpees more often?
It seems others don't either because they are negging my comment, lol.

For those that don't follow, Tony Abbott recently said -

"It's climate change policy that's doing harm. Climate change itself is probably doing good; or at least, more good than harm."
Abbott also called the efforts taken to combat climate change are just like "primitive people once killing goats to appease the volcano gods."

          @WatchNerd: makes perfect sense,
I mean , what good is logic if you can't just do or say anything you want
          Fark it
          BURN IT ALL !

One barcode is for Brisbane, one is for Sydney and Melbourne
I think you can get it anytime
How will the 7 11 computer know what the temperature is

    • +1

Good question. Let's ask a google mini.

      Or extract info from BOM.

    • +3

How will the 7 11 computer know what the temperature is

It's networked to the Slurpee machine.

    • +1

They use the security cameras to detect singlets and flip flops

      • So housos always get free slurpees ? Every day, all day UNLIMITED :)
Sunnyvale 7/11 will soon be going broke

  • +1

    Slurpee app?

  • +5

I'm not seeing it in My Offers on the fuel app.

    • Mine either. Sometimes my offers come through a bit later after seeing them posted here so hopefully it will come through soon.

    • +1

      Don’t see squat

    • I can confirm the offer appears at the top of the list when the weather is over 32 degrees.

  • +3

Temperature must reach over 32 degrees

The temperature is always over 32 degrees at my local store.

  • +8

    when it's over 32 degrees

Which angle needs to be over 32 degrees?

    • +17

32 Degrees is the wrong angle. It needs to be 90 degrees, that’s the right angle.

      • +1

What did the sapling say when it grew up?

        Geometry.

I think we may have some maths teachers here or dads?

        • +2

Haha, this did crack me up, though it wasn't a fair square joke.

      • +4

        Now you’re just being obtuse

      • +3

10 degrees over your right angle would be the boiling point

        • +4

Your comment has gone off on a bit of a tangent

  • +7

Ozbargain member danger163 who is from Melbourne, will probably want to know if he can use this at a 7-11 in Sydney when it's over 32° in Melbourne.

What version of the app are you seeing this offer in? I am on version 1.3.1 and can't see it?

    • It was on my app this morning but it's gone now
      Maybe they changed their mind

    • I'm using 1.4.1

  • Not showing for me either, or perhaps it only shows up when it gets to 32? But why do that, when people won't know the offer exists unless they open their offers at the right time.

  • Not under the offers section of any of our fuel apps.

  • +2

I had the vouchers appear on my offers tab yesterday, but checking again now its gone, maybe since its gonna be a hot week they decided to get rid of it.

  • +1

Just change your weather app to Fahrenheit, and the Slurpee is yours any day during an Australian summer (and winter, for most of the continent).

    • Doesn't help if the guys at the counter check on their phones

  • +1

When it's a hot temperature and these barcodes come back make sure you take a photo of them so you can use them at anytime. ;)

    • If the barcode are not unique, perhaps someone might be nice enough to upload code for all to use :)

  • My app didn't show the deal at first. Then, I upgraded, turned on and give permission to the location. They turned up several after closing and opening several times…

  • +2

anything over 30 and their machines can't keep up, it's more sloppy than slurpee!

    • True, I think it is not just the machine not being able to handle the temperature, but added to that, is the fact that more people are going to be emptying out the machine on the very hot days.
I recently entered a 7/11 on a very hot day, and it was a mad rush ever1 lined up at slurpee machine 1 after the other, slush all over the floor, and the poor guy working there couldn't keep up with cleaning floors and machine cos or the constant flow of overheated individuals requiring more slurpees

  • Couldn't see them doing this in perth. Every day would be free slushie day.

  • Why is this labelled “targetted” 🧐. Also can’t find it in my app either :-(

  • No slurpee offer today in my fuel app either

  • Nothing here either and it's going to be 42 here in Melbourne

    • +1

Has gone past 32 and now visible in the app.

      • +1

Unique code one time use only

  • +2

I can see it in the app.

  • +2

    👍 great stuff got 2

Coupons are unique and one time use only you don't need balance in app for the offer, just login create an account.

I have old and new app both got the offers

    • +1

They last for a month they just hide them so take a photo if you want to use it later.

      • +1

already used up my friend, Just in case they decide to change their mind :) lol

  • +1

I got this offer last Sat, but today I saw this :(

Cheap frozen sugarydrinks can contain 30 teaspoons of sugar. What are you getting for $1?

    • Last Saturday I grabbed their "less than 1% sugar" slurpee. It was very sweet so I assume it's loaded with artificial sweeteners. Wasn't bad.

Less calories, so up to the individual, if you must have one..

  • Another Day another Free Slurpee at 7/11.

    • Yet to see anything in the app, it's gone over 32 a couple of times but no slurpee - did you actually see it / get it today?

      • Yep I can see it in my app.

        • Well, I used one last Saturday and get nothing today.

Not sure if there really is 4 as the OP Suggests.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the APP and if I don't sign in it does appear but no barcode and says error (and can't be used). If I sign in there's nothing at all (because it knows I've used it presumably).

TL;DR it's either broken or you only get 1 not 4

        • @nismo:
I didn't redeem last time, but could only see one in the app then and it lasted like 2 or 3 days and then disappeared yesterday to reappear today at the time it hit 32 in Melbourne.

Sounds like another glitchy app or perhaps you only can get one redemption per account, although nothing in the T&C's precluding multiple vouchers.

  • Tip: if you have a Samsung phone with My Knox and/or Secure Folder you can add the 7eleven app to them then claim the deal twice or 3 times.
