Mountain Designs is closing a lot of regional stores with posted sale prices in the Bendigo store at 40 to 80% off. Could not find an 80% off item in this store and most of the deals match the 40 to 70& sale online. I loved the 50% of sleeping bags with the

  This merino short sleeve t-shirt is 80% off @ $17.99, down from $89.95. However, it only shows a "60% off" logo.
  Pretty good buy if you ask me. Only sizes M & L left. Free delivery too.

  Heaps of stuff in store that aren't listed on the website anymore as well. Managed to pick up a Sea to Summit Ultralite sleeping mat for 40% off, ended up being about $85 and a Luminaid Nova for $24.

  Merino wool socks were 2 for $29.95.

  So many outdoor shops in Bendigo for such a small population that has possibly has fewer mountain types per capita than average. No great mountains or oceans nearby.

  I heard that Toowong (Brisbane) is shutting too, and has similar specials. So it's not limited to regional stores.

  …but I am not sure that it is everywhere either.

  Bridge Road Richmond VIC has heaps of bargains especially soft and hardshell jackets. Shoes too but not a huge range of sizes left.

  Damn I was just about the purchase from the clearance website… feel very wary about purchasing anything if they suddenly close down stores and I can't return my online order! Might just leave it until they close down fully…
