      I tried to book using certain dates and it gave me $710 per person - which is fine. It is not the cheapest ( I think was around $680) because I will have a 22 months old travelling with us and do not like the idea of an 8 hour wait in Singapore - hence the higher fare of $710 per person.
      I tried Singapore Airline website and it was (for the same dates and time - had to tweak the dates a bit) and it was $724 per person.
      I wonder what the price would be when Singapore Airline has its usual special - which is a couple of months away.
      Does anyone know the price Sydney-Tokyo during Singapore Airline annual special?

  Thanks heaps, Got 2 tickets to japan in end of May.
  Didnt realise how much some people charge for credit card.
  Extra $72 using budget air
  price beat wouldnt have the decent time schedule that other agents had.

  Thanks OP, booked open jaw (Tokyo and Osaka) in August. While the 650/60ish fares were available then, I found the aggregators offering them to be a little concerning (their reviews are horrific - often incapable of even fulfilling bookings properly, as well as not sending through confirmation), so paid another 40 to go through a reputable page.

  Was I naive to think that IWantThatFlight was a booking agent? Not just a gateway to a basket of hit and miss no-name agents who have loads of terrible reviews.

    Ye… Expedia, STA, BYOJet, BestJet, Aunt Betty, Lastminute, Wotif, Jetstar, Virgin, Tiger… all no name hit & miss agents lol. IWTF is an airfare aggregator, pure and simple. If you don’t like one of the agents selected for the chosen fare, move on to the next one. Your naivety is no reason to neg the deal.

      If you spoke to any one of the many people who have had terrible fulfilment or done their money with the providers, you wouldn't question a negative vote. Plus, if you move down the list to a provider who has a name brand, this fare is not cheaper than booking direct with Singapore.

  Tried to book it through pricebeattravel (cheapest option). It said 0% surcharge for Visa Debit but when upon payment, I got hit with a 2% surcharge.

  Contacted online customer support and he said "yes actually our website is under updation that is why it showed that" and insisted I need to pay for this 2%.

  Currently still in the middle of talking to the online customer support dude.

  PS: I've only got a visa debit(advertised as 0% surcharge) and credit mastercard (2% surcharge).

  PPS: The guy did not want to honour that surcharge and offered me to do a bank transfer instead. At this point I got so mad I asked for a cancellation and he threatened to charge me with cancellation charges. Long story short, I raged, threatened to contact consumer affairs and "ok sir i will cancel if you want".
