NAB Qantas Signature Credit Card - 100k Bonus Qantas Points (Requires $3k Spend in 60 Days) Annual Fee $395

240

Similar to previous deal which got expired on 6th, looks like nab has extended the offer. I got nab signature reward card as a part of my home loan bundle so may be its time to switch reward card with qantas signature card to earn Qantas points and avoid annual fee.

  • Do you happen to know if there is a waiting period between cancelling your last card and applying for this one to get the 100,000 points? Thanks

    • +2

Reading various threads on AFF, NAB is the only bank (that I know of anyway) that dont care about waiting periods between cancelling last card. There are numerous people who cancel and re-apply the exact same card and still get the bonus.

    • 12 Months

      • Where does it say so? I can't seem to find it

      • Yes can you point it out to us. It's not on the T&C.

    • I'm sure you dont have to cancel the old card you can have 2x Nab cards, at one stage i had 3x NAB rewards classic(last year) and got bonus points for all 3 cards, the NAB credit card(or might of been rewards centre) can tell you.

  • What does 100,000 points actually equate to?

    • 3 people to Fiji return :)

    • 2/3 of a business class trip from Perth to Japan.

      • 1 Way Business Class to Los Angeles.

      • Sorry should have been more clear. 2/3 business class return.

  • If you're just after points there's also this:

Or the 75K Qantas points for $0 in first year from ANZ.

      • That is a good offer.

        • I think that’s the BEST offer out there at the moment.

  • So, NAB is buying debt? Isn’t this what happened in GFC?

    • Just a promotion to sign up for a credit card… They all do it, nothing out of the ordinary here.

      • 100,000 BONUS POINTS when you spend $3,000 on everyday purchases within 60 days of account opening.

        Not just sign-up.

        • +1

Yeah ok, Sign up and USE… obviously they want people to use the product they are selling.

That's just put in there to stop people abusing the promotion and signing up, booking a flight and then cancelling next month without ever using the card.

This is nothing like what happened during the GFC

  • Has anyone who doesn't have a home loan with NAB had the annual fee waived before?

    • +1

normally the 500 nab shares would get this waived

      • And you don't need to have any other NAB account.

      • corgicorgi, please can you elaborate? If I buy/own 500 NAB shares will they waive this fee?

Looking at the share price trend, it may end up costing more holding those shares than the fee…

      • I suppose they would not automatically get this waived? May I know what the process is?

  • whats the minimum salary?

    • Not too sure but previously for other cards with similar credit limit were quoted as 75k salary.

  • Am I missing something or does this card really lack in benefits compared to the other top tier big 4 bank credit cards? No lounge visits/priority pass..

  • I applied recently, so far so good in the approval process,

I realised I did have a NAB loan as well,so would I get my annual fee waived?

Ill pay for it this time since hte application is already started

    • I think you have to annual fee unless you have nab loan through which you can bundle the card and avoids annual fees or as mentioned in above comments need to have 500 nab shares.
I believe you should give them a call and see if then can waive fee for 1st year. You can mention westpac has similar offer previously and they waived the 1st fee if you have Weatpac account at the time of application.

      • No need to call, you can just send them a Secure Message through the portal to ensure it’s seen/linked as part of your home loan pack. I did this and got confirmation the next day.

  • Applied but got a call asking if I am happy with lower ($6k) limit Qantas Premium with 25k bonus points, which are entirely offset by $250 annual fee. Rejected the offer over the phone. What a waste!

  • has anyone had any luck getting the annual fee waived for the first year?

  • Has anyone got their bonus points credited yet?

    • +1

Yes, went nice and fast. Reached the threshold between the 1st and 2nd statement, got the bonus points with my 2nd statement. Similar experience as with ANZ Black.

      • did the 100k and spend QFF points come in seperately or together?

were you notified in anyway that you had met the spending criteria and was eligible for the bonus 100k?

my QFF account has been credited with the 3k points for the spend, but i am yet to receive the bonus 100k

        thanks

        • Separate, and I just logged in to QFF again and noticed it was a few days before the points from the 2nd statement were credited:
9 Dec: 899 points (1st credit card statement)
          29 Dec: 100,000 points
10 Jan: x points (2nd credit card statement)
