Agree with OP - excellent website plus it's a not-for-profit fund.
Just got an e-mail from HIF with a personal promo code that you can use instead of the above.
Referring member gets $70 and referred gets $50 - I believe the LOVE50 code only works if you are a new member or haven't been with HIF for the past 5 years, whereas my promo should work with any re-joining members.
Anyone know who I can contact to get the referral system on OzB changed? It could just display a promo code instead of PMing a member…

I made my first claim with HIF today and it was a complete s***-show.
First the premium was due to be deduced today and they said I needed to wait around 45 minutes for it to go through before I could claim at the dentist. Something to do with their billing system?

Then they left me with an out of pocket of $180 for a checkup, scale and clean and x rays. (011, 022, 037). This is for the Special Options cover, the middle cover with no waiting periods and 5+ years loyalty benefit on it transferred from Bupa.
What a joke.
I completely regret switching. I will be getting the gift card in a few weeks and then leaving, probably for HCF because they give 1-2 free check ups every year.
