  • need to spend at least $2,500 in the first three months.
and why not get ANZ Rewards Black for an even better 75,000 points.

    • +2

Person need to have min 75k annual income

2500 one can manage by paying some bills in advance or with little mgmt of expenses

      • Most reward cards dont cover government utilities in their rewards , so worth checking on that

if you have $35k/yr income maybe you shouldn't spend $2,5k in 3 months. just sayin'…

Of course you would when you include bills

  • My one year from closing the anz black account is not up yet, so i don't think im qualified for this promo yet right?

    • you will be.. i just rang them and confirm. as long as you have different card, it should be fine.

      • Thank u

  • Sorry bit noob but can I apply for this and do the minimum and get the points then just close it. Or keep it unused for like, 10 months after getting the points then close it. Not looking to get a mortgage or any other debt anytime soon so I don't care about credit score (which should be pretty good anyway, I pay my debts on time).

    Thanks

    • Yes, you can get it, get the points, spend the points and close it at any point within the first year, and you won't be hit with the annual fee.

        In general

        • Apply for card

        • Plan your expense

        • Get points

        • Close the card

Generally if one has a family , a car , using Opal sort of transport mode , you can plan.

Please maintain pretty good payment history…

      • Thank you

  • I already have the exact same card that was applied around July last year, can I cancel my current one and reapply for this card to get the points?

    • +2

If it was an ANZ Rewards, Rewards Platinum or Rewards Black at any point in the last 12 months, then no, you can't, you need to wait 12 months from when you cancelled the card. You can still apply for, get and use the card, you just won't get the bonus points.

If it was any other ANZ card (First, Low Rate, Qantas or Travel Adventures), then you can.

  • Would anyone be able to share any preferences between Qantas point or ANZ reward points?

    • Depends, are you wanting to use the points for flights or for things like gift vouchers or actual stuff?

    • I did some calculations to compare gift card redemptions. You need to spend more to get the points for a $20 Wish Giftcard with Qantas.

Not sure about flights and other products. With ANZ rewards, you can transfer your points to Velocity or other FF programs.
