Haven't seen the 13 5000 go any cheaper as of yet. If you don't mind grey stock, there is a current deal on the slightly better 13 7000 model from Make it so's deal for ~$968 AU, however the one in this deal will have local warranty and be eligible for TRS.

  • XPS 13 will be eligible for TRS or not? I am also struggling between XPS13 and X1 carbon. any advise?

  • Deciding between the Inspiron and the HP Pavilion ba115tu (http://h20386.www2.hp.com/AustraliaStore/Merch/Product.aspx?…) which I can get for $1070 through a corporate discount with a $100 gift card that I can use to purchase an active pen. The new Inspiron models are pen compatible too. Does anyone have any feedback on which choice would be better? Only difference is Dell might be slightly cheaper even after purchasing the pen, but Pavilion is slightly bigger and has a pcie ssd. Unsure about which has the better active pen functionality and overall build quality/reliability. Have been told by a Microsoft rep that dell had smoother pen function.

    • Do you actually need the pen a lot? I have had a decent pen enabled laptop, and a pen enabled tablet, and on both of them I hardly used the pen. YMMV.

      • I mainly will be using it for uni, annotating on powerpoints as I do that at the moment but on paper. I think i'll get decent use out of it!

  • is xps 13 the latest 2018 model?

    • Latest spec yes, but not the latest model that was recently demoed @ CES 2018.

  • Any deals on inspiron 15 with ssd?

  • Is the XPS 13 worth the price? I'm not sure, I don't know laptops.
