  • Does anyone use this?

    • Still waiting on mine from last deal

I think I'm waiting on this from the last time it posted… But I'm not confident… Maybe I should buy again

I swear I bought a Xiaomi Mi Home component in December and even wrote in the deal thread that I did. But going back through my orders it looks like I didn't. Losing track and going crazy.

To be fair, I doubt I need this. If it appears in 3 weeks, I'm sure I'll be happy, but honestly I'll forget about this tonight.

Problem is, I want one, don't need one, and honestly can't remember if I got one. Don't need 2…

Edit: pretty drunk on this Chinese wine I got. His like a truck. If this didn't make sense - I'm so sorry 'insert Japanese sincerely sorry bow gif"

        Edit 2: I can't actually insert that.

Edit 3: that's what she said! High five!

  • Is there anyway to get either of these to work with a raspberry pi (home assistant)? Maybe pass through the xiaomi hub or IFTTT or something else?

    • Apparently passes through the Xiaomi lamp to get WiFi connectivity. Not sure about hass.

Edit: given the price of the lamp, seems like an expensive way to get an LCD screen showing the temperature, given the alternative zigbee products for getting temperature readings.

  • Can this be connected to the Mi gateway? (like the other sensor)

    • Bluetooth only. From memory, only the bedside lamp and a certain camera can connect this to WiFi through them

  • I wonder why everyone need this, consider we have bom website that shows the weather data? Are you running some sort of farming to look after the vegetables?

    • Nah, for me it's about my pets. I had my dog locked in the house with what I thought was a 23 degree room. Came home to a 37 degree room with a dehydrated dog and a broken air conditioner. I'm trying to figure out a way to get remote readings and alert me if the temp gets too high, otherwise I've got no idea if I'm killing my dog or not.

I have an Asian girlfriend who insists it's freezing when I'm sure it's about 28 in our bedroom. I'm confident if she know the actual temperature, her perception of how cold she is will change.

Also, the internet is terrible at telling me the inside temperature of my house

I don't think it's isolated to just Asian girls.

  • Anyone know i can use this to connect to the broadlink RM mini 3 so that it reaches a temperature and itll turn it on

  • I'm guessing this would not work for reverse cycle air conditioning? Anyone knows which Xiaomi product might work with reverse cycle aircon?
