Viiro Dual Monitor Mount Table Stand w/Arm & Desk Clamp $70.36 @ Custom Home Theatre eBay

40
PCTECH
  • Supports 15kg per monitors, unlike some cheaper clones.
  • 360 degree swivel
  • Support for VESA Standard 75mm x 75mm and 100mm x 100mm mounting.
  • Maximum viewing flexibility with tilt, swivel adjustment enabling portrait and landscape viewing.
  • Adjustable height for improved ergonomics.
  • Cable clips to help keep cables neat and protected.

Bought this myself over a year ago, very stable with 2x24inch monitors. Pretty good price for those of you who are annoyed by non height adjustable stands. Frees up a lot of desk space too. Requires your desk have a lip on the rear for mounting - I used a drill to make a slot in my second desk which I just changed to.

That looks different and only supports 8kg per monitor. The one i posted supports 15kg per monitor (or so it claims).

  • I'm confused. Is this the same as a Vesa mount? How does it connect to a table? Any table or just a desk as my Ikea desk has a drawer on the right.

  • I bought a similar one from ebay for $37 (at the time) a few months ago. It too support 15kg per arm.

After using it for a few months, I find that:

    • The screen cannot be angled up and down, which is a problem when I need to angle the screen to avoid the glare.
    • The height of the two arms are not independently adjustable so if you use two different screens, it may not be possible to line up the screens as you want. For instance, I use 2 x 24' Dell screens from the same serious but different years and one sits lower than the other, which makes moving the cursor annoying.
    • If the two screens weigh different, the stand will lean towards the heavier screen. This lean worsens the problem of not being able to angle the screens.

In other words, I wouldn't buy duel holders if you have two different screens.

    • Probably more to do with the quality of your stand. I have a similar one to the link in the first comment and have no issues using a 27" on one side and a 19" 5:4 ratio on the other side.

      • The leaning may be a quality issue - or it could just be due to my lack of upper-body strength to sufficiently tighten the bolt :)

From the images, the OP stand cannot angle the screens (ie move screen the top forward & bottom backwards) and raise/lower the two arms independently so those are not quality issues - the functionality just isn't there.

Is yours able to do that? If so, could you please link to it? I am looking to upgrade.

Specs say it can be tilted +-30deg. You cant see the additional hinge behind the vesa plate to allow it to tilt.

You can get mounts that have indepedant height adjustment but they are expensive and use gas struts on the ones i have seen.
Mine cant but i dont need it.

        • @8azinga: Thanks. The tilt adjustment alone is worth the extra $30 - I didn't realised that I would miss it so much.

15kg per monitor is quite high and unexpected for a cheap stand so i would think it is 15kg total.

Kogan have the same one under a different name and they quote as 15kg max total.

  • Wouldn't you want a gas spring one like this?

Was $109 a few days ago.

Sometimes I look on Amazon in US just to see what gets the rave reviews and to compare specs and photos with products we get here in Aus. Here is a mount called VIVO Dual LCD LED Monitor Desk Mount Stand Heavy Duty that is clearly popular (3000 reviews) with our cousins across the pond, might be worth comparing for quality.

  • Vivo options at Amazon look good.
