$2.49 at Bunnings and UV protected

    • Looks like a better deal if you want one that should last a bit longer. Anyone had experience with this Bunnings one?

      • +2

I bought one a couple of weeks ago. So far so good. Only complaint is that it's either off or full blast, whereas more expensive guns will put out lower pressure water if you squeeze it less hard. Not much of an issue for me though.

For 2.49, you can't go wrong. I've been finding all my expensive guns don't last too long anyway, so at 2.49 I don't care if it breaks.

        • Only complaint is that it's either off or full blast

Adjusting the thumb screw on the back of the nozzle where it meets the trigger should help with this (basically limits how "on" on is).

      • +1

yup 1st one i bought lasted quite awhile…was happy
2nd & third are leaking from the nozzle after a handful of uses…now not happy.

      • I bought two a few months back. Theyโ€™re fine for the price. One has just started leaking a little but it still works okay. I will probably put a bit more money twowards something better when I replace them.

      • +1

I've been using them (front and back + two at another house) for the last 6-8 months and think they're great — don't see a need to go with any of the (far!!) more expensive options.

Certainly would be my choice at $2.49, rather than spend $1.19 and wait a month.

I haven't had any issue with the hose gun leaking, but I have a few tiny leaks at other points in the system that I've too lazy/cheap to fix, so I turn the tap off when I'm finished using the hose. Perhaps other people are getting leaks that I'm not because their systems are under pressure all of the time??

    • Yep. Would rather support local bricks and mortar and you don't have to wait 2 months for it

    • +1

I got 3 of the SCA ones. They're all shit and didn't last.

Magic water spray head - Waters the plants without the need for actual water.

Edit : might be applicable only to male ozbargainers

  • Best bonus feature: "Water saving: crush resistant metal fittings and rubber washer all prevent leak and save lots of water"

    No leaking, save water

  • Well it is cheap but I prefer this as I don't need to keep constant pressure. it operated by push thumb control even kids can play & hose the garden.

  • +13

I had this and its absolute rubbish.

    Dont bother.

Its cheap and leaks after a week. It has cheap plastic orings .

I rather kill myself then use this.

    • +18

      That's a bit extreme lol

    • +1

It'll be a bit difficult to use it AFTER you kill yourself

      • +1

These are pretty shit at ANY price.
I decided to upgrade to Aldi brass fittings and nozzle adapters as the best water-saving leak-stopping solution.
(I use quality hoses either latex-style rubber or bright blue hose with stamped metal fitting - trip proof.)

[And I found the old style el-cheapo adjustable plastic sqirter nozzles reliable until their little lives gave up and went to UV heaven.]
I have athritic hands that need a quality clamp-holding squirt device or a screw-turn pre-adjustable nozzle.
        No pun intended.

  • "Magic Water Spray"

Will this make my plants grow twice as fast?

  • +1

Unfortunately the orange one isn't this price as it's easier too see so I don't mow over it.

    • I've bought the orange one from flower power for 2.50 on special. Thought it was great. It's been 2 months in the full sun and have survived. I'm guessing the green one is just as good at half the price too.

There should be a metal ring you can bring forward so u don't need to hold onto trigger.

  • +1

During summer just expect it last 1 month.

  • not xiaomi

    no deal.

  • Bought one, will use it to wash car.

  • I'll wait for the Xiaomi version.

  • Got mine today!!! Couldn't believe it.
