    i've always been really curious about these apps. when i started running years back i would go out and run as far as i could (~1km). couple days later i'd try again and get a little further, so on and so forth. has anyone found that these apps actually get you to 5kms? just truly curious :)

      A few years back I used a couch to 5k website to get me going again and definitely found its methods worked.
      It's based more around interval running which seems to keep you more motivated than running a full 1km and feeling stuffed and sorry for yourself the first time you go out.
