Any recommendations? Childhood memories of them being very loud and dripping water everywhere.

I need a good one for a large room 30m squared. Also want it to not need to empty water every couple hours as I will want it on while I sleep.
Just speaking from bitter personal experience - don’t waste your money on this. They are only effective if sitting directly in front of the stream 2m away. Any farther it’s hopeless and certainly don’t depend on this cooling a room. It also needs an outlet and the supplied pipe is usually unwieldy or not long enough.
And yes it is loud. And it sucks electricty like no tomorrow.
For serious cooling, you need a split system.
