  • I heard people will just go meh when reading mtk

    • meh

  • I'm not up on mobile CPUs - will this beat out my old Nexus 10 (which has stopped charging)?

    • +1

Looking at Geekbench 3 scores, should be a huge improvement.

      MTK8173.
      Exynos 5250 (N10).

Graphics should also be ahead according to some quick research, and double the RAM can't hurt!

Yes by a big margin it's near equivalent to a Huawei Mediapad M3 nearly maybe like only one or two tiers down but for the price its value is push it to the limit.

Very good tablet for the price. Slightly lower in power than the HiSilicon Kirin 950 in the HUAWEI Mediapad M3 which is probably my old top pick for 8.4" tablets but this is pretty good.

For $200 AUD this is a steal.. huawei is 50-75% more expensive for near same identical sites just smaller form factor which some might like like small kids and constant carrying.

  • Looks like it has a pogo charging point on the bottom edge?

    • Nope. That's for the Keyboard. It has a DC port for charging and the Micro USB port might support charging.

  • Is this cpu reasonably more dnappy/powerful that the Intel z8300 in many China tablets?

  • +1

Any real reviews for this? I'm worry about glamorous specs but bad performance ie wash out screen, un responsive, hot, bad Wifi, not holding charge, etc.

Also is this better than lenovo p8 around AuD 170 few months ago? Spec below
    ● Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa Core 2.0GHz
    ● Adreno 506 gpu
    ● 8.0 inch 10-point Touch Screen
    ● 3GB RAM 16GB ROM

  • Tempting. I take it this will probably never see an Android upgrade?

  • Ok/poor performance going by the YouTube reviews, especially with the Phoenix os. Too many issues to recommend.

    • Going by the product description and user reviews this version doesn't have Phoenix OS just Android 6.0.
