    How would this compare to the kit 28-70 f3.5? Is it worth a purchase just as a walk around lens?

      I'm interested in this question too. I have the kit lens on my A7 and despite the 18-105mm being for crop bodies I'm still quite interested due to the extended zoom range.

      Interesting. I wonder if they're fixing some of their prices. I noticed this morning that the lens came down to $499 which is obviously an error. I got an email from them yesterday outlining their Australia Day deals, of which the 18-105 was marked down 15% to about $623 - which seems about right (using Take 5 will bring the price to the same as this post - around 602).

      I think, wait a bit to see if they correct their prices - there should be a discount on it, just not sure what.

        Yes, I saw the price of it was $499. All of sudden it went up to $734.

        It is $623 now.

        I assume they are staying on this page. lol

          Sad, $499 would have been amazing. Great lens though - it doesn't come off my a6500 during the day.
