Yesterday's deal (20% with additional 10% off + free shipping) works out slightly better but still a good deal.

Patiently waiting for Myer to update their website with the latest catalogue to take advantage of these sales, but as always they are the last department store to do so!

      Wrong.
      This is a prime example.
$149.95, so after 25% off its $110.00 (which has already been applied).
      Then apply ANNIVERSARY20 so it's now $90.
      That's 40% off.
Your example gives 28% off (10% off a 20% off).

        Username checks out :)

        • +1

Almost, although 25% off 149.95 is actually ~$112.50

        • +1

Not really. Mathnerd's example is actually invalid.

The Scuttler is a clearance item and is already discounted. This means today's 25% discount and yesterday's 20% + 10% discount are/were not applicable. It was $110 yesterday and also $110 today. You could also apply ANNIVERSARY20 for further $20 off yesterday.

This means you could get The Scuttler yesterday or today for $90.

      • +2

clearance item,it has been 25% off everyday, and it didn’t receive 10% off extra discount yesterday.

      • Uhh, no. My comment is not wrong at all. Yours is.

I brought a set for $161 after discount yesterday. Today that identical purchase would cost me $167.

As per the above comment, it's on clearance - it was that same price yesterday and all last week. So unless you C&C or have a Shipster account for that set, you'll be paying $9.95 in delivery (free yesterday) — in which case you're actually worse off!

        • Why don't you have Shipster. It's free for 2 months with a new email id

        • So your comment works for your specific circumstance. You must have forgotten to mention that :)

        • +1

          @D3m3ntia: Sigh.

By all accounts yesterday's was the (slightly) better deal

          20% + further 10% = 28 per cent off

Mathnerd was referring to a clearance item which are excluded from both sales (already discounted at ~26 per cent off)

        • @WJD21: but for my circumstance, I just need a few smaller sets for gifts. Spending around 100 to get the ANNIVERSARY20 gets me a 20 percent ad on

        • +4

'I brought' I swear some aussies don't understand the difference between brought and bought

        • +2

Gotta keep the grammarians occupied, I suppose..

      • +11

        Wrong.
        This is a prime example.

This is a prime example: 17. Here is another: 11.

      • $149.95, so after 25% off its $110.00 (which has already been applied).

        1 - 110/149.95 = 26.6%

Therefore the discount is not already applied and the discount comes from the fact that the item is on clearance.

I can confirm, yesterday was a slightly better deal. It was an auto 20% discount but then an additional EXTRA 10% on top at checkout, then the addition of the ANNIVERSARY codes. The freebie bonus was included then too.

All the best sets like Brick Bank, Detectives Office, Tie Fighter, Star Destroyer, all sold out yesterday. Ordered Star Destroyer which came down to $147.50 from an original $229.95. Today's deal for the same item would cost $152.50, however is no longer available anyway.

I ordered a heavy assault walker - CC for 147.56 $ plus the year of the dog bonus yesterday :)

      • +1

Yep, can also confirm that yesterday's deal was better ie. 28% off + $20 off.

If you stepped on one of the bricks at 100 you'd probably get gangrene.

    • +7

You go back to duplo :D

  • No MF?

  • Where can I get a decent deal on a gt3 rs?

  • The discount isn't of as great a value if they don't have the kit that you want, so no Apollo V, no Mindstorms , it's not their full store listing on-line, so need to ring store and ask which stores have certain items.

  • great deal, I wondered if the anniversary codes are stackable in ebay

    • +1

They’re Myer generated codes, not eBay codes.

  • Wish these codes work on kindle pw, has been looking for deals on pw.

Or you could all buy Aliexpress "Lego" and get a better value product with no difference in quality

    • You mean Lepin?

What if the douche bag that sits next to you at work took all the credit for your hard work and you couldn't object?

I'm paying for the design too, not just the plastic. The copycats don't deserve the $.

  • +2

Gah. Ran out of stock WHILE I was ordering. Error on eBay's checkout, but PayPal charged me anyway.

    • yes

    • PayPal charity appreciates your donation.

The discount has now dropped to 20%. Still a good deal for Lego but technically this post is now expired.

    • Yeah looked up some Lego and it was down to 20% not 25% :(
