Any Apple TV 4K deals 🙃

    • -2

      Apple doesn’t make TVs

      • It’s called a Apple TV, but it’s like a media player. But being Apple it’s hard to find a deal on the product however Myer eBay and a few other stores in the past offered cheaper prices through these coupons.

    Any good ipad 128GB deal?

  • Anyone recommend an adsl2+ long range router for a big home?

    • You might want to check the NBN roadmap for your area. Once it's live, you're going to be throwing away your adsl2+ router. Would that be worth spending money on if NBN's close?

      • I live in bass hill nsw, and says its only planned. I dont even see a date provided

  • Damn it, I just bought from Rolan Australia last night before this post came out :(

    • +2

You probably got it cheaper then. Don't panic

      • Thanks for the positive thoughts but just checked and price hasn’t been jacked as yet. You can’t cancel and rebuy can you? $30 difference

  • +2

Why is Jack so popular on eBay?

    • You'd have to ask him…

  • -2

What time does the sale go live today?

Just tried to apply it to something from 24 hour nutrition and recieved the following message:

'Looks like this code isn't ready yet, please try again later'

    HI guys,

    Any deals on a Chromebook?

    • +11

Try typing 'chromebook' in the search box and hit enter. Leave out the quotation marks to save two keystrokes. Sit back and marvel at the technology.

  • Bitcoin miners are buying up every single 1080ti card out there at the moment. Gone are the days when 20% off at eBay results in a $950 ti card.

    • Hasn't bitcoin dropped? Miners should be flooding the market with their 2nd hand GPUs now?

      • Still something to be made

      • +1

gpus have nothing to do with bitcoins, it's mostly ethereum, monero, and some smaller alts.

although the crypto sphere is moving towards Proof-of-Stake instead of Proof-of-Work, (the major one being ethereum) so mining as we know it probably won't be relevant by next year. Expect the 2nd hand GPU dump then.

These sales are a joke, participating stores jacking up their prices whenever there's an eBay discount.

    No thank you.

    • +6

That said, even though it may not be a true 20% off, there are always some deals to be had. So whilst I don't think it's worth a neg, I don't think it deserves the attention that these deals get.

      • +1

Definitely should not be getting the amount of attention at all.

It should be a requirement to post the corresponding items that are actually a deal along with posts like these.

        • +2

Agreed. Its funny how you can only vote a neg if you provide a reason, but anybody can vote positive without any explanation at all. All the people mindlessly voting positive on this deal with the lackluster "bargains" is doing a disservice to the OzBargain community by promoting this price jacking practice and blatant free advertising. It also declines the quality and authenticity of this site. I guess the mods don't really care because it drives traffic to the site and increases ad revenues?

        • @Orpheus:

          Agreed.

A lame system for sheeples, but nothing you can do about it. It even removes any downvotes if your original comment has been negged - Though it should be easy to bypass this.

Lol at the weeb that down-voted you too.

Reported for using a false location

      • +1

Ah but it does mark the spot.

  • +2

Like I said in the past Ebay needs to stop this nonsense and enforce no price jacking.
If seller cant absorb the cost just change it to 5% site wide.
Stop ripping of uninformed customers with this deceptive practice.

  • Where is Bing Lee !!!

  • I want to buy an iphone before going overseas. Can you still get tax refund if buying from ebay. Say if it is from Allphones ? What about from a seller that does not have a shopfront ?

Have you bothered to familiarise yourself with the TRS or you're just going to wing it and roll up at the airport? If you had you would know that all you need to do is have the item and a tax invoice but there are other things that you need to be aware so go and read about them.

    • You can only get a GST refund at the airport if you paid GST on the item.

But as suggested you need to find out about the details of the TRS yourself.

  • Any search link?

    • there is one near the top of comment page 2

    • Click the deal link then scroll down to the searchbox with the blue 'search the sale' button.

Any sellers who sell local stock tablets (with GST bill and local manufacturer warranty)?

The 256 GB iPhone x seems to be really well priced for Australian stock! $1879 original price reduced to $1500 @ 20% off..

    • Actually.. it says AU warranty but from HK? Not sure if Australian stock!

    • +1

      That's not Australian stock FYI

      Item location:
Warranty Service in Australia, Hong Kong

      Deal post from last time

      • iPhones have worldwide warranty by Apple, do they not?

EDIT: Oh, right. That damn GST threshold.

  • Would love a cheap LG v20 ..$350 or there abouts. So far all I'm finding is 3g only bands that are sub $350. Any 4g ones in Aus are $400+

  • +1

Bought a Breville Dual Temp Pro for $263.20 from KG Electronic. The original price seemed the normal going rate, so seems like a bargain to me.
Spewing that I missed the deal on the Breville Smart Grinder Pro - going to have to pay full $199 + $9 postage to bing lee I guess :(

  • Shame theres no iPhone 8 plus :(

    • Shopmonk from memory has 16gb 6s plus reconditioned for $354.

Use that as a value indicator in buying an iPhone 8 Plus. ($1000+).

Those two phone imo would be much the same experience.

  • looking to get a laptop for my niece.. which one do you guys think would be better ?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173043288141 or https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173043288145

    • Neither have a full HD screen which would really bug me

      • hmm.. dont want to spend > $600.. and she usually use it for schools and surfing only.. no games..

    • If you can spend a bit more, this is a much better deal for a school machine. Much lighter, more powerful, Full-HD screen, an SSD (will boot and be ready from sleep much faster), and better battery life.

      • i will need to upgrade the SSD, as 128 is definitely not enough.. :-)

        • Could always get a 64gb Micro SD like this along with a slim SD adapter if needed. Not an amazing solution though… I survived on 64 total while I had my Surface.

        • Use cloud storage, don't waste money on a big local drive

  • No Mavic air :(

  • 10LB of gold standard whey with a box creatine and shaker delivered for $124

  • +2

That house store is an asbsolute joke for price. Charge double but give 20% off - cool!

    • +2

You can get a deeper discount on their own website anyway

      • +2

Hence why these generic eBay deals should be negged unless actual price comparisons are listed and are in fact lower and not higher when listed elsewhere.

      • +1

        Good point!

  • Edited

  • 24 Hour Nutrition Logic:
    1 X GOLD STANDARD 100% WHEY = $89.90
    1 x Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard BCAA | 28 Serve = 49.90
Buy them together but separate items = $139.80

    Also 24 Hour Nutrition:
    Bundle 1 X GOLD STANDARD 100% WHEY = $89.90 AND 1 x Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard BCAA | 28 Serve = $179.95…… ok then

    • +1

Marketing ploy to catch people off guard, SS does the same thing by listing the Xiaomi Power Bank multiple times at different prices..

  • +1

Rolan Australia isn't part of this deal anymore :(

  • Use the search link it didn't come up with Intel NUC but when I search JW eBay they have a few, not sure why?

  • Wow a week of researching parts - $1000 in my cart and code dosn't work one day early as they withdrew from sale? WTF

    • Code still works, double check your list.

  • Rolan no longer appears on sale website
