        At 2m I would agree with you… the cable would have to be REALLY awful to not work… but when you get to longer cables (5m, 10m etc) then it starts to matter more.

        However yes in this case it would be pretty pointless

      looks like the only difference between these and the cheaper ones are the Black and blue nylon sheath.
      However, nylon or plastic, it wont affect the signal quality as its digital. 1s and 0s on 1 end are still going to be 1s and 0s on the other

        Digital transmission can still be affected by strong interference, high loss etc, due to poor quality cable and outside factors. It's just at shorter lengths this is not a problem.

          Digital is digital, do you need a premium SATA Hard disk for a computer or a premium DVI cable for monitor? As long as they are in good quality and not like 5-10M, they should be fine.

    Not worth the extra money IMO.

    Cheap cables work fine over short distances. The only reason you'd get a better quality HDMI is if you're doing a lot of connecting/disconnecting with the cable…which a lot of consumers don't do.

    Just a regular HDMI cable, if gets shipped in its original packaging then its worth it. But my guess is that its shipped in plastic wrapping. So not worth it.
