Hey, not much to look at here.

    Unfortunately I think you're right :(
Appreciate your effort though every week Savas, keep it up!

    • +1

lol i was going to change that

      • +3

And now you can't haha :P

Actually maybe it's not too bad, Greenseas Tuna 89c is a good deal, but whether this tuna is as good..

Chicken Sandwich Schnitzel – the Deli - $1

That's something I definitely want to try, or at least see.

On a side note, am I the only ozbargainer who doesn't like Spam?

        • +2

How about Spam, bacon, sausage and Spam?

        • +1

@Clear: Well I like bacon and sausage :D

        • Thank you, me too. I put that in the title, apparently they are only 118g but its still works out cheap.

        • +1

@Savas: Ok I'm going to go all WatchNerd on you, but:
          1kg / 118g = ~8.48
          ~8.48 x $2.45 = $20.75

          $20.75 a kg.

          How is that cheap?!?

        • @pennypincher98: Where does the $2.45 come from?

        • +1

          @Savas: Spam's price is $2.45 - it's 340g not 118g though???

        • @pennypincher98: Sorry i was referring to the chicken schnitzel.

        • +1

@Savas: oh right :P hahaha that's not that bad for schnitzel then, $8.48/kg?

        • +1

@pennypincher98: I thought it was good, i can remove it from the title lol

        • +1

@Savas: I think it's also good, great for sandwiches to get us away from that awful Spam stuff…

        • +1

          @pennypincher98: yes!! hahaha

        • +1

@Savas: cheapest I have seen regularly for schnitzel was either $5 or $7 a kilogram. I should really try the more expensive ones and do a taste test some time.. been living in "poverty" or on the edge for some time now not giving myself many luxuries besides chocolate milk and maybe some ice creams.

  • +2

There's two tables of Chilled. Including chocolate, I'm not judging..

It’s not that we like it, it’s just that it’s cheap.

Does Beckham Body Spray work by making me look like David Beckham if I spray it all over myself?

    • +3

Sniff it and you will think that you look like him.

  • +4

I like how Magnums are part of "Personal Care". I totally agree with that.

    • +1

      Hahaha thank you!!

  • +1

Anyone know where i can get greenseas seeded mustard mayonnaise flavour tuna? Woolies use to stock it but i haven't seen it in woolies over a year now

  • +2

Greenseas are the total bastards of the tuna industry apparently - and Sirena is on special at woolies right now and infinitely better.

Not preaching just throwing it out there. Tons of articles on their use of nets and other naughty eco nonsense they are refusing to stop doing.

    • +3

      Spam is half price.

    • +2

Sirena is more expensive though. It's like $1.25 compared to 89 cents.

      • Totally worth the price difference for the crazy difference in quality. The peppercorn sirena is freakin' amazing. And you also know that even though you're probably still part of the overfishing problem, you aren't all that bad.

It is interesting to see the price of ethical consumption for an OzBargainer. Definitely lower than most I'm sure! I am pretty terrible myself.

        • +1

Just throwing it out there, ethics is good but this is OzBargain not OzEthics.
People will overfish whether or not I buy it. If I don't, the next sucker will.

Yes it's blunt, but if I cared about one more than the other, I'd start having to do that for everything and before you know it I'm buying organic carrots because they have feelings I don't want to hurt.

        • +1

@pennypincher98: I don't know if any of the arguments in that post are actually valid arguments but, like I said in the first post, I'm not preaching here. Just mentioning it cause it's relevant to one of the products being posted.

People can get super touchy about posts about ethics. I don't really know why. We are all free to vote with our wallets within regulation and reason.

        • @krunchymoses: Haha yeah all you need to do here is post a special for caged eggs and the whole of Ozbargain is divided!!

I don't understand why either. I buy some good ethical stuff sometimes when it's a good price, but most of the time it's not exactly viable.

        • @pennypincher98: Oh my god caged eggs are a nightmare topic. I've had my housemate get genuinely pissed at me for having cage eggs once (but they were on a hectic clearance for like $1 and I only have so much strength. I'm an ozbargainer!).

        • +1

@krunchymoses: haha yeah they are.. Last time caged eggs were brought up it almost started WW3!

        • +1

@pennypincher98: Oh wow. Yeah that's kinda what I would expect. To be honest, they would be thrown in the bin if they weren't bought so it's a real greenie dilemma. Make a statement - see them go in the bin - or save them from waste.

Total dilemma! But yeah - this could go for days but there's never a real answer to this mess - especially with people that are on the poverty line (not just opportunistic middle class jerks like me!).

  • +4

    Thanks Savas awesome deal.

Sard Wonder Power Stain Remover Powder 1 kg

I'll need to clear out the stock of my local Woolies of this item, I stain my pants everytime I see your deals.

  • +1

Are the Lavazza beans any good?

    • +2

I usually go for the Manna bean deals on here and split it with work colleagues but now I'm on my own as they've moved onto other jobs. Since a year ago, I have been drinking Lavazza, Vittoria and Vittoria Organic. For <$20, it's a really good deal but you have to look at the use by date. They are generally good for a year from roasting date. So if the use by date is Jan 2019, you're getting fresh beans. But if it's Sep 2018, you're getting coffee that was roasted 5 months ago. They generally put these specials on when coffee has been sitting there for a while to avoid reducing the price further in a couple months.

but taste and quality of Lavazza is 8/10 imo.

Chinese New Years, and they offer 88 dollar visa giftcards?

    Are they serious?

The whole premise of gift giving at Chinese New Year is cold hard cash. Literally, cash-in-envelope, and Woolies wants people to spend an additional 5.95 card fee on top…..

Hey OP, appreciate your efforts in putting this together.

Just out of curiosity, the Lavazza coffee ground beans which are for $15 in the current promotion: are they any different from the one in ALDI for $11:99 taste wise.

Has anyone who has used both please share their experience?

  • +3

Fine work OP! Especially regarding Hormel's most versatile product.

I wonder if Woolworths staff reads this.

Man I would really love a to go scrambled eggs option as somebody who hates cooking anything outside a microwave or oven also can't crack eggs to save my life sometimes :)
