    More like a motion sensor. I doubt it could tell it's a human body that passes by.

    These ones are slightly more useful than the original:

    1) the mount makes them easier to position and direct while still retaining a small form factor.
    2) this one also includes a PIR so you can detect light levels.

    I'm currently using these as motion sensors for the under-cabinet bench lights in my kitchen. My dogs are more than capable of setting them off too.

    Both this one and the original model are compatible with Home Assistant so you can configure automations with other IoT systems that way, as well as through the Mi Home app.

      I also have the original (that came with the "starter kit") as well as this version. This one has much better detection range than the original, as well as the other benefits you've listed.

      Also using it with Home Assistant and very happy with it's performance.

      These Xiaomi deals are becoming increasingly difficult to get on :(

    Does anyone else have trouble buying anything from Gearbest?
    I have not been able to make a single purchase from them for the last few months. PayPal looks like it goes through then the purchase gets refunded with zero explanation.
    Then I though I'd try my credit card instead but it won't even process the payment with either MasterCard or Amex.
    I've tried contacting Gearbest many times but they are not contactable. The customer service online chat link does not work, neither do online messaging or emails.
    This seems very strange!
    I've never had a business refuse to accept payment or not have any contact method?
    Am I the only one?

    I'm in Australia and the problem doesn't seem to be code related as I have tried making other Gearbest purchases without a code.
    It would be nice if they had a way to contact them

    GBFEB112 seems to be a valid code for same price on just the sensor part.

      Cool,

      There is a slight difference in the versions with the stand version also having a light sensor. if you only need motion sensing then thats a good way to go.
