Good price but its last of the non touch screen smart phones, great in the corporate world but supercrapola compared to a android/IOS handsets for everything else. I had one for work and hated it with a passion.

I actually really like it. With this, I can type without looking at the phone :p not that that's any useful! Lol. But with touch screen these days, it's hard to do so!

This is a really good deal. I've got the BB 9700, and when it first came out (overseas) it was worth more than $579! :) Awesome phone, so I'm guessing the new version will be as good… (Not for those who's upgrading though, cos it looks exactly the same as 9700).

I have a BB9700 and an HTC Desire HD. Both excellent phones. But I think the BB9700 kills most touch screen phones on battery life.

        • I recently switched from a Nokia E71 to a Garmin A50 touchphone and I must say I do miss the old QWERTY keyboard.

Nothing beats the sensation of a real haptic keyboard. But with Swype installed typing on a touchscreen isn't too bad.

  • Does this work on Telstra Next G network? Think it uses UTMS 850

    • Anyone? I want to order……….. but it just says tri-band

      • Wireless Networks

        • 3G (HSDPA) compatible
        • UMTS 2100/1700/900 MHz (Bands 1,4,8)
        • GSM: 1900/1800/900/850 MHz
        • Quad-band support: GSM 850; GSM

        it's there in the specifications…..

  • You miss physical keyboard when you using touch screen! So this is a good deal for some ppl like me…

  • So looks like it doesn't have 3G 850MHz support for Telstra NextG? :(
