Do I need the Smart Hub to wipe my face with this? And what about Band 28 support?

Will it wipe my brow when my Mi Band2 detects my pulse rate >100?

    • Will it wipe my brow when my Mi Band2 detects my pulse rate >100?

Not only that, it will dry your behind when Xiaomi smart toilet has done its job.

      • Yeah monocolour is pretty pathetic.jpg, towel's not even RGB

Mi Home? Is it Chinese language only?

          @BrodenIt:

Don't be fooled by the acquisition cost, it's the cost of ownership that will get you!

        • @BrodenIt: In fact, I remember I saw an Ad some time ago, about how to protect yourself, "If a stranger try to grab your hand, you have to shout 'DONT', when the strange try to kiss you, you have to shout 'STOP'…" What if the stranger try both at the same time, you know what to shout..

        • @BrodenIt: plus $250,000 running costs over 18 years.

        • @BrodenIt:

Your not a true ozbargainner, will cost you more in the long run

  • +3

      • I think it has Gustav integration.

Tips: If item is not as Described or is of Poor Quality, you can A: Return it and get full refund, or B: Get partial refund and keep the item.

    • +1

Most of time, if you demand for a full refund and have a good reason why, they usually honour it.

  • +7

Is this a towel for a small face or is it a small towel for any face?

    • -4

      Yes.

  • +1

wow Xiaomi are into every branch of the industry. I wonder if I can buy Xiaomi condoms :D

    • +2

      not that branch

      • It's called a root.

    • -1

Guaranteed to make you feel huge.. Being Chinese and all :-)

  • +4

I feel good about myself not wanting this.
Means Xiaomi can't sell me anything simply because it's Xiaomi.

Now where the (profanity) are my Xiaomi pens and humidity doohicky? Power bank too. Can't use this stupid WiFi extender until it arrives.

  • +2

Can someone who has used one of these explain why they'd be worth buying?!

    • I think they've been cheaper at gearbest but it's been a while since they've had it at an acceptable price point for me. If these are the same towels sold on gearbest the fabric is treated with polygiene.

      http://polygiene.com/how-it-works/

  • with 1.6 second water absorption this is truly a bargain!!

  • +6

Why is this considered a bargain? Cheaper face towels in $2 shops.

    • +1

at their lowest price these are good value.

i don't know what the quality of $2 shop towels are so can't compare.

the quality of these lie somewhere in between target's budget towels and australian made towels.

ikea budget < target budget < these towels < australian made towels.

ikea budget towels are of unsaleable quality imo.

      • Um Australian made towels? As in there's only one quality? What about kmart towels or cotton on made in china or bangladesh? I find some xiaomi products to have reasonable value but I also find it strange how there's almost a cult following on this site.

        • kmart & cotton on quality is below target.

        • @tveye: interesting… How do you define quality for a small face towel? And is there a large face towel option?

  • +19

importing a single small sized towel from china waiting over 30-60 days to receive it for a price that is questionable if it's a deal at all. at what point is this just buying shit because it has the word xiaomi and a discount code attached to it. eventually Xioami will start selling factory workers finger nails and we will all upvote it because it has a 10% off discount code attached to it. /rant

    • +2

      Do you have a link?…

and is there a code for this 10% discount??

    • +2

10% off fingernails you say…… I'm waiting for the 15% deal before I buy.

    • It's Xiaomi, ozbargainners love this crap

  • +1

My face is huge…. will this work for me? #nosmallface

  • Are Xiaomi products made in China? I've been seeing alot these deals lately.

    • +2

      Yes. They're a Chinese company.

  • -1

Waiting for @watchnerd asking for notification led…

  • +1

What does it do that a $2 one couldn't?

    • I was thinking the same LOL; for 5 bucks, this face towel better wipes pimples clear.

  • What? Xiaomi towel? Hahahaha

  • how to get the bluetooth working on it?

  • For that Xiaomi person in your family that has everything

  • +1

132 customer reviews, do they really have to give a review for a towel?

  • Original price should be 3 AUD in china, jd put a fake price then give discount.

  • What does the chinese characters say? "Use for wiping ass only" ?

    • What does the chinese characters say?

      Single use only.

  • Far out!!! What else will Xiaomi venture into???

  • +1

My local reject shop has face cloths the same price or less. Why is this stuff getting upvoted ? It's not a bargain.

    • +1

      Because:
      1. Just a few clicks and it's headed to your door!
      2. It sounds more cool to say "I imported a high-end towel from China" than "I bought this towel from the Reject shop".
      3. It's discounted.
      4. No GST

  • +4

1.6 seconds water absorption, no more fluff!!

    Specs on this is nuts.

  • Shouldn't used face-washers be [Machine] washed for hygiene - mine are ;-)

Seems to equate to just an average 500gsm - & over $44 for your standard 70cm by 140cm towel.

RATHER A RIP-OFF? .. in spite of cheap PRC post.

    • Here are some comparisons of the highly inflated price of mainstream commercial offerings with the same treatment.

      Here is the Aliexpress comparison:
      https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=A…

      • are those mainstream offerings long staple cotton?

        • "Egyptian" cotton is common for many towels, but the silver salt treatment is not that common.
The point is that the listings I provided are a lot more expensive than what the OP listed, infact there don't seem many towels out there with this silver salt processing technique. (from what I can tell).
And no they don't seem to be long staple cotton. Maybe the listing is very good value indeed.

        • +1

@marcozmitch: Your first comparison is many times larger? ;-)

As a dabbler I was happy to investigate the cheaper White version - perhaps less harm to people involved "with dying". [An inadvertent mistake :(]

IIRC the Romans used silver containers to safeguard their water.
Copper (& at least some alloys) also having anti-bacterial properties - good for door handles etc?

IIRC silver nanoparticle treatment has already been applied to socks & underclothing etc. Rather inexpensive with the amount involved - tho one might wonder about unforseen consequences.
WM discharge problems currently under investigation :(

One might wonder about the longevity of this silver salt too!

IMHO I might personally rate this Seller as a $cammer - 4 attempts to plug into my memory AT EVERY STAGE rather putting me off.
Aggrevated by White now upped to U$4.99 - the cheaper U$3.99 version (Blue now) SOLD OUT.

          Scammers to be avoided?

PS: I have previously bought 'bamboo' hand towels for their [supposed] antibacterial properties - BUT "The Checkout" have just destroyed that myth.
Processing destroying the natural wood immunity - tho subsequent treatment [of any fabric] can give some protection.

As I now believe bamboo cellulose treatment (as for fake silk - viscose/rayon) can poison workers, I won't purchase future [unsafe] products.
PRC having already greatly helped planet earth by limiting third chimp numbers - already, by far, the most common of our chimp family.
We shouldn't kill off the chinese people for OUR consumer[/capitalist] purposes.
