      I love you.

Or 15c more expensive on their eBay Store with PICK5. Could C&C if that's what you want.

Thanks doweyy, I've just reported you too mods for suggesting a more expensive option.

      • +3

        That's my trademark.

Is that the love between a man and a woman or the love of a man for a fine Cuban cigar?

        • +4

          Both

        • @BrodenIt: Is that you President Clinton?

    • It keeps saying that the code cannot be applied to my order…anyone have any suggestions as to why this might be?

      • Hmm that’s odd, do your Paypal and eBay accounts both have AU addresses?

        • I just double checked both my eBay and my PayPal, AU all around. I tried the PICK5 code as well, no dice. First time I've ever run into this problem.

    • +4

      You too.

      • Tried, apparently postage to my location is $50… blatant ripoff.

  • What is the difference between the WD Elements and Passport? The Passport is always a lot more expensive than the Elements, so I was wondering if it's a lot better/faster than the Elements.

    • Elements, I think, is a better choice. No difference in speed or quality. Passport has back up software built in. I bought one ages go to have movies on it for the PlayStation and it wouldn't recognise it. Every time I plugged it in a PC it popped up about the back up software even after I reformatted. I ended up returning and got the elements one.

      • Hmm! I thought the Passport was faster in read/write. I have only got the Elements, but was curious was to why the Passport was always more expensive. Cheers

        • Never used to be. Maybe it is now but that was never the difference. Passports never been worth the extra.

      • I've definitely not had this issue with my two Passports. One being used as a movie drive, the other as a PS4 expansion.

I've had 2 Passport drives die on me - would never buy WD again

@Ugly: That's unfortunate :( I've been pretty lucky all round with mine hard drives all round. People seem to have a hatred towards Seagate too, and I've had no problems there either. 2 seagate drives, one is a 4tb media server, 3 years old going fine, the other is a tv show drive, 1tb at about 5 years old now, going fine.
2 WD drives, one is 750gb 5+ used as a PS4 expansion, the other is a 2tb movie drive at about 4 years old and going fine.

I've even got an old almost 10 years old 250gb seagate drive that still works(thing requires 2 usb ports to for it to work aha), but only has a back up of my music on it so is rarely used.

I've got a Passport version from 8 years ago, still working fine like day one.
      No experience with Elements though.

MSY seem to have it for $94 also, so could possibly price match at Officeworks for $89.30

    • +2

      Price matched successfully! Thanks!

      • My local OW is Blacktown, do you think they'll pricematch MSY(closest one is in Auburn)?

        • They didn't even check the location where I went (Villawood) they just price matched it when they saw the price.

        • @Acestrikerz:
          Great thanks

    • Successful match at OW Werribee. Thanks for the heads up

    • Thanks, manage to price match at fountain gate OW

  • Will this work in PS4?

    • Yeah will work fine.

      • I wanted to know as well and I read a heap of people say that the USB host part is soldered onto the drive, which means it wouldn't fit in a PS4? Used externally it would be fine, but I am under the impression that it would be impossible for it to fit inside the PS4.

        • Yeah, will only work as external, sorry if I originally misunderstood the first question.

You want one of the 2.5" Seagate drives meant for laptops. Most USB ones now are soldered. Mate of mine used the 3.5" Firecude SSHD hybrid with the NYKO expansion to be able to fit it in, but you're looking at almost a $200 commitment there- but does noticeably decrease load speeds with that drive, without the high cost of a full SSD.

        • @ONEMariachi:
Yea I was looking at getting this to pull apart and install in ps4, looks like it won't be happening, I'll do a search for the seagate ones. Thanks
