Xiaomi LED 240lm Flashlight w/ Built in 3350mAh Powerbank ~AU $27.77 / US $21.81 Priority Shipped @ GearBest

A reasonably good price for this Xiaomi flashlight and power bank combo. It probably doesn’t appeal to flashlight enthusiasts because it isn’t ruggedised or made out of metal (and the USB ports are exposed), but I like the inclusion of the power bank with a reasonable light for emergency or general purpose use.

Only priority shipping is available.

Approx 200 pieces available. I’m not sure when the deal ends.

  • This looks interesting…. Comparison to other more expensive lights; anyone with the know?

Is your upvote for Xiaomi? interesting? Or know?

Anything? Or cat got your tongue?

Anything Xiaomi appeals to most ozbargainners, commence upvotes

  • If not rugged or waterproof won’t be much use in emergency situations

    • +12

OP means "blackout at home" type emergencies, not "Afghan forward operating base" emergencies

      • We are in Australia floods, storm damage, hail, cyclones etc

      • So only can use indoor emergencies

        • Think it's good for indoor use. Save the battery on your dolphin torch for those dramatic emergencies.

For most people, a flashlight is needed more for minor things

        • @Salmando: is expect more out of a $28 flashlight

        • @asa79:
It's rechargable. Most torches I have are nearly flat when I need them, and dammed if I can find some AAA batteries when I actually need them.

Pretty decent charge too. I don't know, I think it's good value. Won't get one though

  • How bright is it compared to a Nightcore Tip flashlight?

Xiaomi need to make headlamps too.

    • +1

On paper, Tip is brighter by about 100lm but in reality it probably wouldn't be that noticeable. Tip CRI is about the same.

    • This is a better price, and direct line shipping is only 0.25USD more

  • hmm.. I'd be happy if it was a tad smaller. It's a bit big (dimension wise) for a 3300mah..

  • +1

way over priced…. 79 RMB in china

better off with Aldi torch on sale tomorrow. No powerbank but meh… rather not have to wait a month for it

  • Not a great price. Bought one last month from Ali…..

In typical Xiamoi fashion, it's a very nicely engineered product. Not exceptionally bright, indeed you'll find much brighter solutions elsewhere for less. So if you only need a rechargeable torch, don't need powerbank, or don't hold the Xiamoi brand in great esteem, look elsewhere.

    • Does it get hot to touch?

  • Hmm. Going to wait for further sale.

It looks neat. I don't like exposed USB ports though. Makes it not good for outdoors if it starts raining. IT won't be water resistant.
