  • Great tv I've had mine few months now

  • Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a 50hz refresh rate bad fur watching sport and movies because of motion blur?

Also if anyone owns this tv, what's the ui like for the apps, responsive or laggy?

    • If you can get 100hz go for it . There's significant difference if you ask me . I own 43" Hisense and find it a bit slow opening apps and normal settings options as well . Hope one day update firmware might help speed things up .

But then again you know whay they say "You get what you pay for "…..

      • Thanks for your input, I guess im stuck with 50hz in this price range though. Much appreciated!

        • As far as I know, broadcasts in this country are never more than 50 frames per second so would only be an issue if you were watching a 60 frames media file of a match you have downloaded off the net. I am including Foxtel in this as well.

        • I just checked jb and it stated 100hz for the 65n7 . Worth it for that price

        • Thanks for the info, good info from everyone

    • Anything branded HiSense or Xiaomi is fantastic on this blog. Trust your eyes before buying.

100hz just means motion interpolation aka the "soap opera effect". It doesn't speed up the TV, it isn't better for gaming, it doesn't make you coffee or anything like that. It just inserts extra fake frames in an attempt to make motion smoother. Since Hisense motion isn't really that great, most people probably just turn it off.

      • 100 HZ would probably be better for gaming, but nobody has been able to make it work without introducing massive IL (b/c it’s processor heavy), for the most part you’re spot on, it wouldn’t help, but technically if they (manufacturers) could get it to work with low IL it would be useful. The BFI on the Sony’s is probably a good compromise IMO.

The N7 is supposed to have variable levels of de-judder and de-blur, which if they actually do anything, could be useful for reducing SOE but also helping with motion, but having never used it or seen any reputable in depth reviews of the N7 I have no idea about Hisense MC quality.

Is it that Hisense isn’t sending samples to reviewers or that reviewers aren’t asking for them? What do people think?

  • updated the post to now include the new 10% off ebay code PRONTO as per

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/361574

  • Does anyone know the big differences between these:

    55N6 $643.50
    55N7 $859.35

It doesn't look like the N7 is 4k?

    • +10

      About $215.85

    • n6 50 hz - n7 100 hz and is 4k

The 65" is cheaper at http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/272860104734 including free delivery for $1404.

    • Where is the free delivery ? I seem to get a $68 delivery fee !

      • That's strange. It was free for me appliances central. I just had a look and it says 'fast and free'.

      • very random postal codes. Lucky mine was free but my folks who live 15 mins from me says $68

    • +1

could become $1248 if they maintain their store price and the 20% off kicks off on Tuesday

      • The sale is only till the weekend from what I know so I assume it will be over by Monday.

    • I bought this for 1570 delivered only 1.5 months ago.. goddamnit

  • serious question, why is there a big jump in price between 55 inch and 65 inch??

    • maybe demand vs supply? most people with these big project homes would prefer 65"+

  • -3

The 65 is only a 50 refresh rate. Not great for live sport? Worth spending a bit more.

  • got it from appliance central ebay using (PRONTO) from the other OZbargain post for $1404 delivered in sydney

  • FYI .. JB did confirm the N7 series is 100mhz.
Just bought… kid broke our 65" plasma just this morning. It was 7 years going strong.. but sadly no more plasmas :(

    • wanna buy my 58" samsung c7000? ;)

Sorry don't want to go smaller. Otherwise would have seriously considered it

  • Just bought a 65n7 for $1,400

  • Won't let me add either the 55N6 or 55N7 to my cart. Seems The Good Guys have zeroed the ebay stock count or something???

<edit> Nevermind, the 'Buy it now' button seemed to work instead. :)

I just got Jb hifi to give me the 55N7 for $859.35 :)

    • Very nice. How did you manage that?

I decided to save a bit and ended up going with the 55N6 for $643.50 via TGG ebay. Picked up this morning and now it's on the wall and working well - so far no complaints!

I showed them the OzBargain post and also it in my cart in ebay. The rep didn't really care to be honest. Once I said it was the good guys and it was cheaper he said he'd do it
