55" TV Either Sony or Samsung - Will It Fit into The Back Seat of a Toyota Aurion

Hi
Just wondering if anyone has ever try to put in a boxed 55 inch TV into the back seat of a Toyota Aurion? The Aurion does not have a foldable back seat and I was thinking would it be better to get the TV delivered as opposed to a C&C?
Thank you.

  • I recommend you take it out of box, will definitely fit. Then take a pic after you get home and post it up.

No, I reckon the screen would be too large/close for the kids to watch comfortably in the back seat.

    • Haha

  • No - i tried 55inch then took it back into store for delivery.

If you do take it out of box it will fit however I didnt wanted to risk a brand new TV !

  • You'll need to get your measuring tape out. Be sure to check the angle the door opens as it may not be wide enough. It will fit a Honda Jazz though with seats down!

I'd recommend doing delivery or strap it to the roof if you engage in risky behaviour.

Yuo can put a Honda Jazz in an Aurion?

  • Bought a 55in Sony about 7/8 months ago. It fitted the boxed tv in with mm. to spare.

  • Airtasker? Post up that you need a TV delivered. See who bites.

Local rental place have a Ute/van? Hire that for a few hours.

Trailer rental? Same deal. (Unless you car has no tow hitch.)

No one you know owns a Ute/van/SUV/stationwagon Hell, if you lived close enough to me, I would help out.

In store delivery options? If you live in their “delivery area”

    Please do the following:

1 - Know what TV you are going to purchase - Make and model.
2 - Go to the manufacturers website and the dimensions of it boxed will be in the "Specification Section"
3 - Then measure this in your car to see if it will fit.

Every manufacturer TV's even if it is the same 55"; the box dimensions will not be the same.

You can also try to slide the TV box upright in between the rear of the front seat gap/back seat "floor leg room to top headlining" and also open both rear windows to cater for the top Square ends of the box. That's how I fit my 55" OLED TV in my car.

You will realise that even with the back seat backrest tilted forward, it will not fit.

The TV has to be Vertically/upright standing and not laid flat.

    Cheers

    • Thanks @vinni9284

    • Agree with Vinni

But for the sake of warranty and the expense of the TV get it delivered it's a lot of money to throw down the drain trying to save a few bucks. or ask a mate with a ute or a 4WD to help pick it up.

Take a skateboard with you, then tow it home.

  • I got my 55" TV in the back seat of my 2011 Falcon without issue mind the rear door does open rather squarer than some cars just slid it in on an angle across rear floor in front of rear seat width was fine

Aurions are as wide as a Falcon I think
