    Nice little Easter egg

  • The review you've linked says there's 1.5GB of RAM, not one, and that the cameras are 13MP and 5MP, not 5MP and 2MP like the stats you've linked say.

If it does have 1.5, and 13MP, then this is more than fine for the price. If not, it's nothing special and the Telstra Slim Plus that's constantly on sale for 49 is about the same kinda value.

link for the review is not for this phone but Smart N8

    Phone locked to vodafone

    • Would this work with Vodafone resellers like kogan?

  • Android 7.1, that's a newer version than my Samsung s8 uses.

  • Here is the full spec from Vodafone OZ. https://www.vodafone.com.au/mobile-details/vodafone-smart-e8…

Provided from their online chat team. Hard to search by ourselves.

  • Does this have a removeable battery?

Also not sure why my other comment above was marked as off topic, you really couldn't get more on topic than commenting about the features of the phone.

Bought one and unlocked for $3 from ebay.

  • One left at Blacktown this Morning.

  • Coles also has it for $59 from today. A few comments after I used one:

    • Although its relatively up to date Android 7.1.1 version is its standout feature vs the other options this cheap, its security patch level remains at 5 March 2017.
    • Although the screen is claimed to be IPS, the image starts changing significantly from pretty slight angles - more characteristic of TN.
    • Although it has a large bezel, the navigation keys are on the screen, leaving about 4.6" available. The similar Alcatel U5 4G has those keys on the bezel.
    • So is ot good or bad?

      • Not a phone I'd use day-to-day. I'd lean towards something like the Nokia 3 ($129 this week at Woolies) for a decent basic Android, but it depends on your expectations. If they're minimal then the E8 might suffice, but if it disappoints or doesn't satisfy for long, you're not really getting good value.
