  • It's powered by the USB from this link http://bensbargains.net/deal/167078/ so we might need confirmation from rep to be sure.

i checked the asus webaite, its definitely usb powered http://campuslife.asus.com/product/detail/7

+1, just checked myself! I would never have believed you could suck enough juice out of a USB 2.0 port to power a burner, but there you go, they've done it! ;)

+ve from me, nice price shipped! :)

      • There are plenty of USB-powered units from Samsung, LG, etc. They use a Y cable so they can connect to 2xUSB if the computer hasn't got enough grunt for burning from just one USB.

        • +1

But even then they still draw more current than 2 ports are supposed to supply.

        • @stumo I've got this burner and I've run it off a single USB port on my notebook without any issues.

        • It all depends on the laptop. I know some older Toshibas were very strict about adhering to the official USB standard of 500mA limit per port. Even then, the device is supposed to request the 500mA supply, which a Y-cable doesn't do.

  • is m950 a better mouse ?
